TetraCon 925 Conductivity Electrode, WTW, Germany
TetraCon® 925 IDS Conductivity Sensors – Product Introduction
Overview
WTW has been a trusted name in high‑quality, rugged conductivity measurement for decades. The new TetraCon® 925 IDS sensors build on this heritage by combining proven four‑pole graphite cell technology with intelligent digital sensor (IDS) innovation. Each sensor automatically stores its individual cell constant and calibration data internally, eliminating manual entry errors and ensuring plug‑and‑play reliability across all connected MultiLine® meters.
The TetraCon® 925 family offers four cable‑length variants to suit diverse field, laboratory, and deep‑water applications. For ultra‑pure water measurements, the complementary LR 925/01 two‑pole stainless steel sensor is also available within the same IDS platform.
Key Features
Intelligent Digital Sensor (IDS) Technology
Every TetraCon® 925 sensor is equipped with an integrated memory chip that stores the sensor type, serial number, and its unique cell constant – including all calibration records. When connected to any WTW IDS meter (e.g., Multi 3510/3620/3630), the sensor is instantly recognised. Calibration data stays with the sensor, not the meter, so you can move sensors between instruments without recalibration.
Four‑Pole Graphite Measuring Cell
The four‑electrode design with graphite elements offers outstanding linearity and minimal polarisation effects, even at high conductivity levels. The large electrode surface is highly resistant to contamination, making the TetraCon® 925 ideal for wastewater, surface water, and industrial process streams where fouling is a concern.
Wide Measuring Range
Covering from 10 µS/cm up to 2000 mS/cm (and resistivity from 0.5 Ω·cm to 100 kΩ·cm), the TetraCon® 925 handles everything from drinking water and saline samples to concentrated industrial solutions. Salinity measurement (0.0–70.0 ppt) and TDS (0–1999 mg/L / 0.0–199.9 g/L) are fully supported.
Integrated Temperature Compensation
A built‑in temperature sensor (0–100 °C) enables automatic temperature compensation, ensuring accurate readings across changing sample conditions.
Rugged and Long‑Life Construction
The epoxy resin body provides excellent chemical resistance and mechanical durability. The sensor withstands harsh field environments and is easy to clean.
Flexible Cable Lengths for Every Application
Choose from four cable versions to match your measurement depth and installation needs:
| Model | Cable Length | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|
| TetraCon 925 | 1.5 m | Standard field/lab use |
| TetraCon 925‑3 | 3.0 m | Slightly deeper sampling |
| TetraCon 925‑6 | 6.0 m | Deeper wells, tanks, or rivers |
| TetraCon 925‑25 | 25 m | Deep‑water profiling and boreholes |
Complementary Sensor – LR 925/01
For low‑conductivity and ultra‑pure water (0.01–200 µS/cm, resistivity up to 100 MΩ·cm), the LR 925/01 features a two‑pole stainless steel electrode with a 1.5 m cable. It is the perfect choice for pharmaceutical, power plant, and semiconductor water quality monitoring – all within the same IDS ecosystem.
Optional Protective Guard
An optional movable protective guard (available in plastic or stainless steel) provides physical protection for the TetraCon® 925 sensor in aggressive environments or adds extra weight for stable immersion in deep‑water measurements. It is compatible with SensoLyt® 900, FDO® 925, and TetraCon® 925 IDS sensors.
