Angle Steel Product Specification
1. Product Overview
Commonly known as angle iron, angle steel is a long steel product with an L-shaped cross section and two mutually perpendicular sides, belonging to simple section section steel.
Execution Standard: GB/T 706-2016 Hot Rolled Section Steel
Common Materials: Q235B, Q345B/C/D/E (Low Alloy)
Delivery Condition: Hot rolled with original black surface; Galvanized or painted for anti-corrosion as required
Production Cycle: 5-7 working days
2. Product Classification
2.1 By Cross Section
Equal Angle Steel: Two sides with the same width, e.g. ∠50×50×5mm
Unequal Angle Steel: Two sides with different widths, e.g. ∠63×40×5mm
2.2 By Material
Carbon Structural Angle Steel (Q235B): Cost-effective, widely used for general structural projects.
Low Alloy Angle Steel (Q345): High strength and good low-temperature toughness, suitable for heavy-load and low-temperature environments.
Galvanized Angle Steel: Excellent anti-corrosion performance, coating thickness: 30-50μm.
2.3 By Size
Small Size: Side width less than 50mm
Medium Size: Side width from 50mm to 125mm
Large Size: Side width over 125mm
3. Model Specification & Representation
Equal Angle Steel: Marked as Side Width × Side Thickness (mm), e.g. ∠50×5; the model number refers to the side width in centimeters, e.g. Model 5#.
Unequal Angle Steel: Marked as Long Side × Short Side × Side Thickness (mm), e.g. ∠100×63×8.
Length: Standard length ranges from 6m to 12m, customized lengths are available.
Theoretical Weight (kg/m):Calculation formula for equal angle steel: W=0.00785×Side Thickness×(2×Side Width−Side Thickness)

Q235B: Yield Strength ≥235MPa; Tensile Strength: 370–500MPa; Elongation ≥20%

9. Surface Treatment & Packaging
Hot Rolled Black Surface: Short natural anti-rust period, paint or oil coating is recommended for follow-up protection.
Hot-dip Galvanized: Long anti-corrosion service life (15-20 years) with uniform and firm coating.
Packaging: Delivered in bundles, each bundle weighs 1-5 tons. Labels are attached to mark specifications, material, batch number and standard number.
10. Quality Inspection & Acceptance
Applicable Standards: GB/T 706-2016, GB/T 2101-2008
Inspection Items: Dimension, appearance, weight, chemical composition and mechanical properties.
Documents: Official Mill Test Certificate will be provided, including heat number, chemical composition, mechanical properties and full inspection results.
