Hot Rolled Steel Coil Detailed Product Specification
1. Product Overview
Hot Rolled Steel Coil (HRC) is produced from continuous cast slab. The slab is rolled continuously through roughing and finishing mills at high temperature ranging from 900℃~1250℃ above recrystallization temperature, then laminar cooled and coiled into strip steel. As fundamental raw steel material, HRC can be directly processed into structural parts or used as base stock for cold rolling, welded pipe and steel structure deep processing, delivered in coil form.Shipment Port: Tianjin Port, Lead Time: 5-7 working days; Payment Term: 30% TT in advance + 70% balance before shipment.
2. Production Flow Chart
Continuous cast slab reheating in furnace → multi-pass thickness reduction via roughing mill → precise sizing rolling by finishing mill → controlled laminar cooling → coiling by downcoiler → inspection, marking, strapping & warehousing.

Thickness tolerance: ±0.15mm; Width tolerance:±3mm; Camber ≤50mm per 10m length with stable thickness & flat shape.

7. Surface Condition
Original hot rolled surface covered with uniform black-blue mill scale without oil or heavy rust;
Tiny regular pits & water ripple are acceptable per national standard; fatal defects like crack, lamination, peeling & inclusion are forbidden;
Pickled HRPO coil with scale removed for near-CR bright surface available as customized order.
8. Product Classification
Full Original Coil: As-produced mill coil without slitting, for large-scale factory further processing & leveling
Slit Small Coil: Mother coil split into small coils (5~10MT/coil) for small-batch cutting usage
Leveled HR Plate: HRC cut into fixed-length flat plate (6m/9m/12m) after flattening
Pickled Hot Rolled Coil: Descaled via acid pickling for auto spare parts & precision stamping
