Specification for Shipbuilding Steel Plate

1. Product Overview

Shipbuilding steel plate refers to hot-rolled structural steel plate for ship and offshore engineering, manufactured in accordance with specifications of global classification societies, Chinese Standard GB712-2011 and ASTM A131. It is widely applied to hull outer shell, deck, bulkhead, keel, bottom plating, side shell plating, offshore platforms, barges and port machinery under marine service. Featuring outstanding low-temperature toughness, seawater corrosion resistance, superior weldability and fatigue resistance, the product fits coastal, ocean-going and frigid polar marine environments.

Shipment: Goods delivered from Tianjin Port within 5~7 working days; Payment term: 30% T/T advance payment + 70% balance payment before dispatch.

2. Product Classification, Grades & Mechanical Properties

Ship plates fall into normal-strength and high-strength categories based on yield strength.Grade code explanation: A/B/D/E/F indicates Charpy impact test temperature: A (ambient temperature), B (+20℃), D (-20℃), E (-40℃), F (-60℃); H stands for High Strength, the number represents yield strength grade (32=315MPa, 36=355MPa, 40=390MPa).
