Alloy Steel Pipe Product Specification
1. Product Introduction
Alloy steel pipe is manufactured from carbon steel billets with alloy elements including Chromium (Cr), Molybdenum (Mo), Vanadium (V), Manganese (Mn) and Nickel (Ni). Different from ordinary carbon steel pipes, alloy steel seamless pipes feature outstanding high-temperature resistance, high-pressure resistance, corrosion resistance and high toughness via optimized alloy composition. Mainly supplied in seamless structure and customized welded pipes upon request.
Classified into three categories: structural alloy pipe, high-pressure boiler heat-resistant alloy pipe and petrochemical anti-corrosion alloy pipe. Widely applied in thermal power boiler, petrochemical industry, coal chemical engineering, construction machinery, oil & gas transportation, nuclear power and aerospace industries.

Function of Alloy Elements
Chromium (Cr): Improve oxidation resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and high-temperature stability
Molybdenum (Mo): Boost high-temperature tensile strength and creep resistance for service above 500℃ piping
Vanadium (V): Refine grain structure to enhance toughness and fatigue resistance

5. Manufacturing Process
Raw Material Inspection: Premium alloy round billet with chemical composition tested by spectrometer
Heating & Piercing: Billet heated in annular furnace then pierced into hollow shell by cross rolling
Forming: Hot rolling for large OD pipes, cold rolling/cold drawing for precise small size pipes
Heat Treatment: Normalizing + Tempering / Quench & Temper to eliminate internal stress and optimize metallurgical structure (Grade 15CrMo: normalized at 930℃, tempered at 700℃)
Straightening & End Facing: Pipe straightening, end chamfering; straightness ≤0.5mm per meter
Non-destructive Test: 100% UT (Ultrasonic Test) + ET (Eddy Current Test) to eliminate inner/outer crack and lamination defects
Marking & Warehousing: Mark steel grade, dimension, heat number, standard on pipe body; plastic end caps for pipe ends protection
6. Core Mechanical & Service Performance
Mechanical Property: Tensile strength 470–900MPa, Yield Strength ≥275MPa, Elongation ≥21%. 30%~50% higher strength than regular carbon steel pipe with excellent anti-impact and anti-burst capacity under high pressure.
High-temperature Resistance: Continuous long-term service up to 550℃; P91 & 12Cr2MoWVTiB can work steadily under max 650℃ without high-temperature creep deformation.
Medium Corrosion Resistance: Resist erosion from steam, hydrogen sulfide and acid-base medium for corrosive chemical pipeline.
Low-temperature Toughness: Keep stable ductility above -45℃ without brittle fracture for cold-region oil & gas transmission pipeline.

8. Packing, Delivery & Commercial Terms
Packing: Small size pipes bundled with steel strips wrapped by moisture-proof woven bag; medium & large pipes fitted with plastic end caps, bulk loading; export pipes coated with anti-rust oil for container shipment.
Lead Time: In-stock items deliver within 5–7 working days; customized non-standard goods 7–15 days. Shipment available from Tianjin Port.
Payment Term: 30% TT deposit, balance 70% TT before shipment (international trade).
Quality Assurance: Full set of factory test certificate, NDT report and mill sheet attached; third-party SGS/PMI inspection acceptable upon buyer’s request.
