High Pressure Boiler Tube Product Specification

1. Product Overview

High pressure boiler tubes are Seamless Steel Tubes for High-pressure Boilers, manufactured from premium carbon steel and Cr-Mo-V heat-resistant alloy steel via hot rolling or cold drawing. Designed for long-term service under working conditions of steam and flue gas at pressure above 9.8MPa and temperature ranging from 450℃ to 650~C, the tubes feature outstanding high-temperature creep resistance, anti-oxidation & anti-corrosion performance and stable metallurgical structure. They serve as key pressure-bearing components for thermal power plants, cogeneration projects and high-pressure petrochemical equipment.

2. Applicable Standards

Domestic Standard

GB/T 5310-2023 (latest national standard for seamless steel tubes of high-pressure boilers, effective Apr.1,2024); GB/T3087 for medium & low pressure boiler tubes as supplementary reference.

International Equivalent Standards

ASME SA210, ASME SA213, ASTM A335 P91/P92, DIN17175. Products can be produced and inspected in accordance with American or German standards per customer requirements.

3. Main Grades & Chemical Composition

3.1 Carbon Steel Series: 20G, 20MnG

Application: Economizer & water wall tubes working below 480℃ under medium-high pressure

  • 20G (Most Popular Grade)C:0.17~0.24%, Si:0.17~0.37%, Mn:0.35~0.65%; S≤0.015%, P≤0.025% (strict control on harmful impurities)

3.2 Cr-Mo Alloy Steel Series (Main Export Grades)

(1) 15CrMoG (For superheater below 550℃)

C:0.12~0.18%, Cr:0.80~1.10%, Mo:0.40~0.55%, regular Si & Mn content with limited sulfur and phosphorus.

(2) 12Cr1MoVG (Prime grade for ultra-high pressure boiler & main steam pipeline of power station)

Compound addition of Chromium, Molybdenum and Vanadium greatly improves high-temperature creep strength, enabling stable long-term operation under 580℃.

3.3 Advanced Heat-resistant Steel: P91(10Cr9Mo1VNbN), P92

For ultra-supercritical unit main steam pipe over 600℃, preferred by thermal power projects in Europe, Southeast Asia and other overseas markets.

5. Production Process

Premium continuous casting round billet → furnace heating → hot piercing for seamless forming → sizing & straightening → precise heat treatment (normalizing + tempering for optimized metallographic structure) → shot blasting for rust removal → non-destructive testing → hydrostatic pressure test → end facing & anti-rust painting → bundling & warehousing before delivery.Key Process: Full heat treatment + dual non-destructive inspection, superior to common seamless fluid pipes.

High-temperature property: Yield strength ≥180MPa at 450℃; 100,000-hour rupture strength complies with GB appendix to avoid creep deformation under long-term high temperature & pressure.

7. Core Product Advantages

9. Factory Inspection & Packing

Inspection Items

  1. Dimensional tolerance & surface visual inspection; 2. Mechanical & chemical lab test; 3. 100% non-destructive test; 4. Individual hydrostatic test with test pressure ≥1.5 times design working pressure.

Packing

Small-size tubes bundled in steel straps; large-size pipes equipped with plastic end caps for protection, pipe ends sealed against rust and marked with grade, dimension, heat number and standard by paint. Original Mill Test Certificate (MTC) provided for customs clearance and commodity inspection.

10. Trade Terms

  1. Payment Term: 30% TT Advance Payment + 70% Balance before shipment, Letter of Credit (LC) not acceptable.

  2. Delivery: FOB Tianjin Port, stock goods loaded within 5~7 days; customized production lead time:10~15 working days.

  3. Available Documents: English & Chinese MTC, customs documents, third-party inspection certificate such as SGS & EN10204 3.1.
