Operation steps
1. After connecting the power supply, connect the source drive to the left interface of the copier and the target drive to the right interface.
2. On the copier, directly select the "1. Copy" function option and press it to start copying.
3. After the copying is completed, simply pull out the hard drive.
Common questions
1. Will it damage my original master drive?
Answer: The master drive ports of the copier are all designed to be read-only. It only reads the data from the master drive and will not perform any write operations on the master drive, so the master drive will not be tampered with or damaged.
2. Do I need to format or clear the original data in the target drive?
Answer: As long as you confirm that the master source is correct, there is no need to format or clear the data in the target drive. You can directly perform the copy operation on the copier, and the copier will automatically overwrite the original data in the target drive.
3. How to know if the copying is completed?
Answer: The copier is equipped with a working indicator light, or there will be a "beep" prompt sound after the copying is completed. A flashing green light indicates that it is working, a steady green light indicates that the work is completed, a red indicator light indicates an abnormal copying, and a yellow indicator light indicates the power-on state.
4. Can you copy from a small master disk to a large target disk?
Answer: Yes, you can. If it is used on an industrial control computer, it is recommended to use a disk with the same capacity as the master disk. Some old industrial control computers cannot recognize large-capacity disks. If the target disk is larger than the master disk, after the copying is completed, the capacity of the target disk will also become the same as that of the master disk. For example, if the master disk is 4GB and the target disk is 16GB, after the copying is completed, the target disk will also become 4GB (the extra space is hidden. You only need to format it once on the copier to restore the original capacity).
5. Can you copy from a large master disk to a small target disk?
Answer: It depends on the specific situation of the master disk. If the data partitions of the master disk are all arranged at the front and the actual data size does not exceed the actual capacity of the target disk, it can be copied; otherwise, it cannot be copied. (This method has certain requirements for the hard disk format. It is not recommended to use this method for operation.)
