Hot Rolled Steel Coil Product Specification
1. Product Overview
Hot Rolled Steel Coil (HRC) is produced from continuous casting slab. After heating at high temperature of 900~1250℃, rough rolling, finish rolling, laminar cooling and coiling, the finished coil is supplied with natural oxide scale under ambient temperature. It serves as the core raw material for construction, machinery, automobile and pipe processing industries.
Delivery condition: Original hot rolled black coil without coating. Pickling, leveling, slitting and galvanizing processing are available per customer’s requirement.
2. Dimension Specification
Thickness: 1.2mm～25.4mm, regular stock range: 2.0～12.0mm
Width: 800mm～2130mm, common sizes: 1000/1250/1500/1800mm
Coil weight: 8～32MT per coil, regular weight:18～28MT
Inner coil diameter: 760mm (standard mandrel size)
Dimension tolerance complies with GB/T709-2019: thickness tolerance ±0.15mm, width tolerance ±3mm; flat shape with coil camber ≤50mm.

Test standards: GB/T228.1 for tensile test, GB/T232 for bend test. Mill Test Certificate (MTC) is issued per heat batch.
6. Product Advantages
Cost-effective: Lower production cost than cold rolled coil with obvious procurement cost advantage.
Fine workability: Available for cutting, bending, stamping, welding, drilling and pipe rolling with high finished product rate.
Wide applicability: Direct usable for fabrication and raw material for CR coil, galvanized sheet and welded pipe.
Stable material: Produced by continuous hot rolling line with uniform metallographic structure and stable batch performance.
Surface feature: Original blue-grey oxide layer is normal hot rolled status; no harmful defects such as crack, lamination, scarring and inclusion. Slight oxide skin is acceptable.
7. Application Fields
Construction: Steel workshop structure, bridge support, solar bracket, scaffold and embedded parts.
Machinery manufacturing: Equipment base, flange, engineering machinery housing and stamping spare parts.
Automobile industry: Truck frame, cargo floor and auto structural parts (510L/610L exclusive grade).
Pipe processing: ERW pipe, spiral welded pipe, water supply & drainage steel pipe.
Container & tank: Container side panel, gas storage tank and wind tower plate.
Cold rolling substrate: SPHC for cold rolling mill to produce CR sheet and galvanized base material.
8. Packing, Marking & Shipment
Packing: Each coil wrapped with waterproof kraft paper + PE film and fixed by steel strips; bare coil loaded into container.
Marking: Grade, dimension, coil weight, heat No., batch No., standard and mill logo marked on coil label for traceability.
Loading Port: Tianjin Port; spot goods delivered directly from Liaocheng warehouse.
Lead Time: 5~7 days for spot shipment; 10~15 days for customized production order.
9. Order & Payment Terms (Foreign Trade)
MOQ: ≥5MT; full 20GP container load:25MT.
Payment: 30% TT advance payment, balance remitted against copy of Bill of Lading. LC is unacceptable.
Shipping documents: Mill Test Certificate(MTC), Packing List, Commercial Invoice & Certificate of Origin.
10. Remarks
Further processing service available: cut-to-length plate, slitting narrow strips and pickling for oxide removal.
Customized specification available for special thickness/width, low temperature impact requirement(Q355D/E) and certified ship steel.
Quality guarantee: Original mill products. Quality claim can be re-inspected within 7 working days per national standard.
