Flat Steel Product Specification
1. Product Introduction
Flat steel is a long strip section steel with rectangular cross-section and rounded edge.Size range: Width 12–300 mm, Thickness 3–60 mm.Delivery form: Straight bar, standard fixed lengths: 6m, 9m, 12m; customized cutting length available upon request.
2. Product Classification
2.1 By Production Process
Hot Rolled Flat Steel: Rolled under high temperature with oxide scale on surface, normal dimensional tolerance, excellent toughness and tensile strength, widely used for structural supports and staircases.
Cold Drawn Flat Steel: Formed by cold drawing, bright smooth surface, high dimensional accuracy up to ±0.1mm, suitable for precision mechanical spare parts.
Forged Flat Steel: Produced by forging, compact internal structure and high mechanical strength, applied for heavy-load working conditions.
2.2 By Material Grade
Carbon Structural Steel: Q235B, Q275, 45#. Cost-effective with excellent welding and machining performance for construction and general machinery industry.
Low Alloy High Strength Steel: Q355B/C/D, Q460. High tensile strength and low-temperature resistance for bridges, hoisting equipment and shipbuilding.
Special Steel: Spring steel 65Mn, tool steel, used for springs, cutting tools and mould accessories.
2.3 By Surface Treatment
Black Hot-rolled Finish: Original rolling surface for indoor non-corrosive environment with competitive cost.
Galvanized Finish (Hot-dip / Electro-galvanized): Zinc coating thickness 60–120μm, outstanding anti-rust property for grounding grid, guardrails and outdoor components.
Polished / Brushed Finish: Smooth fine surface for decoration and equipment frame production.

3.1 Size Marking Rule
Mark format: Width × Thickness × Length (mm), e.g. 50×5×6000.Common specifications (Width×Thickness, mm):
Small size: 20×3, 25×4, 30×4, 40×4
Medium size: 50×5, 60×6, 80×8, 100×10
Large size: 120×12, 150×15, 200×20
3.2 Executive Standards
GB/T 704-2008: Dimension, shape, weight and allowable tolerance for hot rolled flat steel
GB/T 700-2006 for Q235B carbon steel
GB/T 1591-2018 for Q355B low alloy steel

7. Packing & Delivery Terms
Packing: Bundled in 1–5 tons per bundle, each bundle tagged with specification, material grade, batch number and origin information.
Delivery status: Hot rolled / cold drawn / galvanized straight bar, fixed or random length as per order.
Weight settlement: Theoretical weight or actual weighed weight subject to sales contract.
8. Quality Assurance
All raw materials from regular steel mill with official mill test certificate.
Dimension, surface finish and mechanical performance comply with national standard, third-party inspection acceptable.
Custom deep processing available: cutting, punching, bending and galvanizing.
