Cold-Rolled Steel Coil - Product Description
Cold-rolled steel coil (CRC) is manufactured using hot-rolled steel coil as raw material. The production processes include pickling to remove scale, cold continuous rolling at room temperature, annealing and finishing. Featuring smooth surface, high dimensional accuracy, excellent strength and good stamping performance, it is widely applied in automobile, home appliance, construction, electronics and other industries.
1. Production Process
Hot-rolled steel coil → Pickling (descaling) → Cold continuous rolling (thickness reduction at room temperature) → Annealing (ductility recovery) → Finishing (temper rolling, slitting, inspection) → Finished coil
Hard rolled coil (unannealed): High hardness (HRB>90) and poor ductility, only for simple bending. It is commonly used as substrate for galvanized and galvalume steel.
Annealed coil (finished product): Processed with batch annealing or continuous annealing to restore ductility, suitable for stamping and deep drawing.

Coil weight: 3–20 tons (Regular: 5–10 tons)
Thickness tolerance: ±0.02–±0.05 mm, much higher precision than hot-rolled products

Surface features: Free of scale, scratches and rust, ideal for electroplating, painting and enamelling.

6. Packaging & Delivery
Packaging: Horizontal packing with inner anti-rust paper and plastic film, reinforced with steel angle protectors and steel straps. Export seaworthy packaging is adopted.
Marking: Coil number, dimension, grade, weight, production date, standard number and manufacturer information.
Lead Time: 7–15 days for in-stock goods; 15–30 days for customized products.
7. Storage & Transportation
Storage: Keep in dry, ventilated and rainproof warehouse. Place on flat supports to avoid deformation. Recommended storage period: within 6 months.
Transportation: Keep goods away from rain and moisture. Fix coils firmly to prevent collision and surface scratches.
8. Remarks
Custom specifications, special surface treatments and customized mechanical properties are acceptable.
Material Test Certificate (MTC) is provided, including chemical composition, mechanical properties, surface quality and dimensional deviation.
Deep processing services such as slitting, leveling, stamping, bending and welding are available.
