Detailed Description of Color Coated Coil
Color coated coil, also known as color steel coil, is made from cold rolled, hot-dip galvanized or galvalume steel substrate. After chemical surface treatment, the steel strip is continuously coated with organic paint and cured at high temperature. It is a lightweight, high-strength, corrosion-resistant, decorative and easy-to-process composite metal material, widely applied in construction, home appliances and transportation industries.
1. Product Structure
Substrate: Cold rolled steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, galvalume steel, zinc-aluminum-magnesium steel
Chemical conversion film: Enhances coating adhesion and anti-rust performance
Primer: Improves adhesion and corrosion resistance
Top coat: Provides weather resistance, anti-corrosion and decorative effect
Back coat: Protects inner surface and fits bonding application

3. Production Process
Uncoiling → Degreasing & Washing → Passivation → Primer coating → Top coating → Back coating → High temperature curing → Cooling → Film pasting → Coiling & Packaging
4. Product Performance
Mechanical property: Yield strength 250–550MPa, tensile strength 330–550MPa, elongation ≥15%, capable of bending, profiling and punching
Corrosion resistance: Salt spray test reaches 500–5000 hours, resistant to acid, alkali and dampness
Weather resistance: No fading or chalking after 1000–5000 hours QUV aging test
Decorative performance: Smooth surface, adjustable gloss and stable color
Environmental friendly: Chromium-free passivation, low VOC paint and recyclable material

Coastal & severe corrosive environment: HDP/PVDF coating + 150g/㎡ galvalume substrate
Roof and exterior wall: 0.4–0.8mm thickness, G550 high strength grade, 2/2 coating structure
Sandwich panel use: 2/1 coating structure for superior bonding performance
