Detailed Description of Oil Pipeline
Oil pipeline (OCTG) is special core pipe for oil and gas exploration and exploitation, mainly including casing, tubing, drill pipe and line pipe. Manufactured in compliance with API 5CT/5L standards, it features high strength, excellent corrosion resistance and reliable sealing performance, suitable for extreme working conditions such as high temperature, high pressure and sulfur-containing environment.
1. Product Classification & Main Application
1.1 Casing
Function: Support well wall, isolate strata, prevent collapse and pollution, protect oil and gas reservoirs.Types: Conductor casing, surface casing, intermediate casing, production casing.Specification: Outer diameter 114.3–508mm, wall thickness 6.98–22.23mm, length 8–12m.
1.2 Tubing
Function: Deliver underground oil and gas to ground and control fluid pressure.Types: Non-upset tubing, external upset tubing, integral joint tubing.Specification: Outer diameter 60.3–114.3mm, wall thickness 4.83–9.52mm, length 6–12.5m.
1.3 Drill Pipe
Function: Transmit torque, circulate drilling fluid and drive drill bit for drilling operation.Specification: Outer diameter 60.3–168.3mm, length 8–12m. Steel grade: E75, X95, G105, S135.
1.4 Line Pipe
Function: Long-distance transportation of crude oil and natural gas, applicable to high pressure and low temperature environment.Specification: Outer diameter 168.3–1219mm, steel grade API 5L B-X80, grade PSL1/PSL2.

4. Core Performance
Mechanical property: High tensile & yield strength, collapse resistance, internal pressure resistance, low temperature toughness
Corrosion resistance: Resist hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and chloride corrosion
Thread connection: Standard API thread with good sealing and anti-sticking property
Dimensional accuracy: Strict tolerance of outer diameter, wall thickness and length
5. End & Thread Type
Casing: Buttress thread, long round thread, short round thread
Tubing: Non-upset, external upset, premium seal thread
Surface treatment: Coupling phosphating, anti-rust coating, internal anti-corrosion lining
6. Production Process & Delivery Condition
Process: Hot rolled seamless pipe, cold drawn seamless pipe, welded pipe
Treatment: Normalizing, quenching and tempering, non-destructive testing, hydrostatic pressure test
7. Packaging & Transportation
Packaging: Bundled packing, thread protector, anti-rust oil and moisture-proof film
Delivery cycle: 5-7 working days, shipped from Tianjin Port
8. Application Scope
Conventional oil & gas well, shale gas well, acid gas well, offshore deep well, geothermal well and thermal recovery well.
