📋 Product Overview
After the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals, clinics, and laboratories have significantly increased their reserve of alcohol, disinfectants, and hand sanitizers. According to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106 and NFPA 30, any workplace storing more than 10 gallons (37.8 liters) of flammable liquids must use certified flammable liquid safety cabinets for isolated storage.
The 110 Gallon Alcohol & Disinfectant Safety Storage Cabinet is specifically designed for hospitals, clinics, and laboratories. The cabinet body adopts an 18-gauge all-welded cold-rolled steel structure, equipped with dual vents (intake + exhaust) and adjustable shelves. The spill containment sump depth is 76mm. The product complies with NFPA 30 standards and is the ideal solution for medical institutions, research institutes, and pharmaceutical enterprises to safely manage alcohol-based disinfectants.

1. 🌬️ Dual Vents Design (Exclusive Configuration)
The cabinet is equipped with dual vents (Dual Vents) at the lower sides, serving as intake vent and exhaust vent respectively, enabling natural convection of gases inside the cabinet or connection to a forced exhaust system. When storing volatile liquids like alcohol, vapors may accumulate inside the cabinet. The dual vents design effectively reduces combustible vapor concentration, preventing it from reaching the explosion limit. The vents are equipped with standard fire screens to prevent external flames from entering the cabinet.
2. 🔧 18-Gauge All-Welded Steel Construction
The cabinet body adopts 18-gauge cold-rolled steel all-welded construction (All-Welded Construction). The welds are continuous and uniform, free of pores and slag inclusions. The overall structure is high-strength and airtight. Compared with bolt-assembled cabinets, all-welded structure is more robust and durable, less prone to deformation during transportation and use, with a longer service life.
3. 🔧 Adjustable Shelves + Leak-Proof Flange
Standard with 2 adjustable perforated shelves. Shelf height can be freely adjusted (adjustment hole spacing 32mm) to accommodate storage needs of different specifications of alcohol bottles and disinfectant drums. Each shelf has a load capacity of 100kg. Shelf edges are equipped with 25mm leak-proof flanges to prevent liquid overflow. The perforated design allows spilled liquid to flow downward into the containment sump.
4. 💧 76mm Deep Spill Containment Sump
The bottom of the cabinet features a 76mm deep integrally stamped spill containment sump (Spill Containment Sump), capable of holding 10% of the cabinet's capacity (approx. 41.6 liters). If alcohol is accidentally spilled or fire sprinklers activate, liquids are effectively contained in the sump and will not overflow to contaminate the floor or flow into drains.
5. 🔥 10-Minute Fire Rating
The cabinet body adopts a double-wall 18-gauge cold-rolled steel structure, with high-density fireproof insulation cotton filled in between, passing the 10-minute fire test (compliant with NFPA 251 standard). In the event of an external fire, the internal temperature will not exceed 177°C within 10 minutes, buying valuable time for personnel evacuation and fire rescue.
6. 🚪 Self-Closing Doors + Fire-Resistant Expanding Seal
Equipped with self-closing doors (Self-Closing Doors) that automatically close within 5 seconds after opening, preventing staff negligence. Fire-resistant expanding seals are installed at door gaps, expanding to 3-5 times their original thickness when exposed to heat, tightly sealing gaps and blocking smoke and flames from entering the cabinet.
7. 🎨 White/Yellow Options, Clean Room Friendly
Available in white (clean room/laboratory specific) and yellow (general flammable liquids) color options. For hospital operating rooms and GMP clean workshops, white cabinets are recommended, as they better comply with clean environment visual management requirements. The white coating uses antibacterial powder coating to inhibit bacterial growth.

A: The structure of an alcohol storage cabinet is basically the same as a regular safety cabinet, but the ventilation design is more emphasized. Alcohol evaporates quickly, and combustible vapors can easily accumulate inside the cabinet, so dual vents or connection to an exhaust system is needed. In addition, hospital/laboratory scenarios pay more attention to cleanliness and antibacterial performance, so we offer white antibacterial coating options, which are more suitable for clean environments.
Q2: How many bottles of alcohol can a 110-gallon cabinet hold?
A: Taking the common 500ml medical alcohol bottle as an example, single bottle diameter is approx. 70mm and height 180mm, 24 bottles per box. The effective storage space of a 110-gallon cabinet is approx. 350 liters. Considering ventilation gaps and access space, it is recommended to store 200-250 bottles of 500ml alcohol. If using 5-gallon (18.9L) alcohol drums, then 12-15 drums are recommended. The specific quantity needs to be calculated based on actual packaging dimensions to avoid overloading shelves (max 100kg per shelf).
Q3: Does the cabinet need to be connected to an exhaust system?
A: Not necessarily. If the storage quantity is small (50 gallons) or the cabinet is placed in a confined room (such as a windowless storage room), it is recommended to connect a forced exhaust system to discharge cabinet vapors to a safe area. The exhaust volume is recommended at ≥0.5 air changes/hour.
Q4: Can iodine and hydrogen peroxide be stored? Are they also flammable?
A: Iodine (Povidone-iodine) is not a flammable liquid (flash point >93°C), and does not need to be placed in a safety cabinet, but for easy management and leak prevention, unified storage is recommended. Hydrogen peroxide itself is not flammable, but as a strong oxidizer, it should be stored separately from flammable liquids to avoid reactions. Recommendation: store alcohol in a yellow cabinet, hydrogen peroxide in a blue cabinet (for oxidizers), and iodine can be placed in a regular storage cabinet.
Q5: How to ensure the cabinet body does not deform during transportation?
A: We use export-standard packaging: the cabinet body is first fully wrapped with PE stretch film for moisture protection, then placed in a 5-ply corrugated carton, with 50mm thick EPS foam corner protectors installed around the carton, and finally steel straps securing it to a fumigation-free wooden pallet. Under container shipping conditions, the packaging can withstand the pressure of 3-layer stacking without damage. For past orders exported to the US, Canada, and Australia, the damage rate is below 0.5%.
