Detailed Description of Color Coated Steel Coil
1. Product Introduction
Color coated steel coil, also known as color coated steel sheet, is made of hot-dip galvanized steel coil or hot-dip aluzinc steel coil as base material. After surface chemical pretreatment, organic paint is roller-coated and baked at high temperature for curing, forming a composite metal building material with beautiful appearance and strong corrosion resistance.
2. Product Structure
Base steel substrate: Ensure mechanical strength and structural stability
Chemical conversion layer: Improve coating adhesion and anti-rust performance
Primer layer: Enhance anti-corrosion ability and buffer external pressure
Top coat layer: Decide color, gloss, weather resistance and service life
Back paint layer: Protect inner side, prevent moisture and oxidation
3. Common Base Material Types
Hot-dip Galvanized Steel (GI): Stable performance, low cost, suitable for inland ordinary construction projects
Hot-dip Aluzinc Steel (GL): Excellent corrosion resistance, 2-3 times longer service life than galvanized sheet, suitable for coastal, humid and high corrosive areas
4. Main Coating Types
PE Polyester Coating: Cost-effective, outdoor service life 5-10 years, widely used in general factory buildings and warehouses
SMP Silicon Modified Polyester Coating: Good hardness and stain resistance, service life 10-15 years, ideal for urban public buildings
HDP High Durability Polyester Coating: Super weather resistance, service life 15-20 years, fit for outdoor photovoltaic projects
PVDF Fluorocarbon Coating: Ultra strong anti-ultraviolet and acid-base resistance, service life over 20 years, used for high-end buildings and coastal engineering

Inland dry area: Choose PE coating + galvanized base material
Coastal rainy corrosive area: Choose PVDF/HDP coating + aluzinc base material
Wall panel: Suggest thickness 0.4mm-0.6mm
Roof panel: Suggest thickness 0.5mm-0.8mm
