 Sewage and wastewater treatment tanks (such as FRP anti-corrosion for regulating tanks, neutralization tanks, oxidation tanks FRP anti-corrosion, anaerobic tanks, sedimentation tanks, electrolytic tanks FRP anti-corrosion, oil separation tanks, etc.). In sewage and wastewater treatment tanks, since the sewage and wastewater contain a large amount of corrosive media, such as waste acid and oxidizing chemicals, the corrosion to the treatment tanks based on concrete is relatively large. For concrete treatment tanks without anti-corrosion treatment, generally, the surface damage and significant strength reduction will occur within 2 - 3 months. Therefore, anti-corrosion treatment must be carried out on the treatment tanks with a concrete foundation.

The construction of FRP acid-base anti-corrosion projects should comply with the following regulations: 

Sealing layer: On the treated base surface, the sealing primer should be evenly painted without defects such as missed coating and sagging. The natural curing time should not be less than 24 hours. 

Repair layer: For the uneven depressions on the base, resin mortar should be used for repair and leveling. The natural curing time should not be less than 24 hours. For phenolic FRP or furan FRP, the base can be repaired and leveled with the mortar of epoxy resin, vinyl ester resin, or unsaturated polyester resin.

FRP anti-corrosion lining This is the most common anti-corrosion treatment method. It uses the glass fiber reinforced plastic (commonly known as "FRP") structure to form a protective layer on the concrete foundation. The FRP anti-corrosion lining has the characteristics of integrity, good impermeability, and reasonable cost. At the same time, selecting an appropriate anti-corrosion resin can achieve a good anti-corrosion effect. In the FRP lining anti-corrosion construction method, a composite structure of glass fiber cloth plus chopped strand mat or surface mat is generally used, with a thickness between 1 - 3 mm.

FRP anti-corrosion lining has the advantages of long-term water immersion resistance, low water permeability, strong adhesion, high water pressure resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, anti-corrosion and anti-mildew, non-toxic and harmless, long service life, simple construction, and no need for a protective layer.

 Scope of application: Anti-corrosion construction of concrete treatment tanks, ditches, floors and walls requiring protection against strong acid and alkali chemical solvent corrosion; various steel containers; the surface of various metal equipment foundations, etc. It is widely applicable to acid, alkali and salt resistant workshops, warehouses, storage tanks, walls, floors, sewage treatment tanks and other facilities in industries such as medicine, chemical industry, machinery, light industry, electronics, power plants, battery factories, electroplating factories, aluminum factories, and metallurgical factories.

Anti-corrosion process:Epoxy resin, vinyl resin, and unsaturated resin FRP anti-corrosion linings: The anti-corrosion and waterproof lining layer is made of resin and glass fiber cloth. Specific FRP anti-corrosion practices include one layer of cloth and three coats of paint (also known as one layer of cloth and three coatings, one layer of cloth and three adhesives), two layers of cloth and four coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), three layers of cloth and five coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), four layers of cloth and six coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), five layers of cloth and seven coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), six layers of cloth and eight coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), seven layers of cloth and nine coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), eight layers of cloth and ten coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), nine layers of cloth and eleven coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), ten layers of cloth and twelve coats of paint (coatings, adhesives), etc. (and so on, the number of paint, coating, and adhesive applications is two more than the number of cloth layers).

FRP anti-corrosion measures are as follows:

 1. Apply a 0.2㎜ primer of polyester resin paste;

 2. Scrape a layer of polyester resin mortar to repair unevenness;

 3. Apply a layer of polyester resin and lay a layer of 0.4㎜ fine glass fiber cloth;

 4. Apply a layer of polyester resin and lay a layer of 0.4㎜ fine glass fiber cloth;

 5. Apply a 0.2㎜ finish of polyester resin oil.
