◇Yike FF double-wall oil tanks are currently a commonly adopted measure in foreign gas stations to prevent leakage from underground oil tanks. The transition process and trend are as follows: single-wall tanks - double-wall steel tanks (also known as SS underground oil tanks) - double-wall oil tanks with an inner steel layer and an outer fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) layer (also known as SF underground storage tanks) - double-wall fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) oil tanks (also known as FF underground storage tanks). For the renovation of buried oil tanks in use at gas stations, during the transition period of using double-wall oil tanks in North America, the European Union, etc., to reduce the losses of replacing double-wall oil tanks at existing gas stations, it is allowed to use lining technologies such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic that meet the strength and anti-seepage requirements to transform them into double-wall oil tanks. Hong Kong, China also uses this renovation technology.

◇Due to the double-wall structure of double-wall oil tanks, they have a double insurance effect in preventing oil tank leakage. In addition, foreign standards require online monitoring and manual inspection of the gap between the two tank walls during manufacturing. Whether the inner tank or the outer tank leaks, it can be detected in the through gap, thus avoiding the leakage of oil into the environment and polluting the soil and groundwater.

◇Double-wall oil tanks with an inner steel layer and an outer fiberglass-reinforced plastic layer are formed by attaching a fiberglass-reinforced plastic (i.e., fiberglass) anti-seepage jacket to a single-wall steel oil tank, constituting a double-wall tank. In addition to the common features of double-wall tanks, since the outer fiberglass-reinforced plastic tank body is far superior to steel oil tanks in terms of resistance to soil and chemical corrosion, its service life is longer than that of steel tanks in direct contact with the soil.

◇For double-wall fiberglass-reinforced plastic oil tanks, both the inner and outer layers are fiberglass-reinforced plastic tank bodies, which are superior to oil tanks with metal tank bodies in terms of resistance to internal and external corrosion. Therefore, this type of tank may become the main product for underground oil tanks at gas stations in various countries in the future.

●Construction process

●Excavation of the tank pit and geological exploration - According to the installation requirements, excavate a tank pit of appropriate size, ensuring that the distance between the four sides of the tank pit and the tank body is not less than

600mm, and there is a 60-degree slope. According to the geological exploration, the bearing capacity of the foundation meets 167.6kPa, meeting the construction conditions.

●Placement of ground anchors and laying of the base bed - Place the ground anchors attached to the tank in appropriate positions, and use backfill materials to lay a base bed with a thickness of 400mm

●Placement of the oil tank and filling of the bottom - Place the oil tank in the middle of the ground anchors, adjust its horizontal position to meet the requirements of the gas station construction. Then, use the straps attached to the tank to tie the oil tank to the ground anchors, and use wooden packing rods to tamp the backfill materials at the bottom of the oil tank.

●Continue backfilling - Continue to complete the backfilling with the required backfill materials.

●Pavement of the road surface - After the backfilling is completed and the manhole wells, leakage detection wells, and pipelines are made, pave the concrete road surface.
