Galvanized Steel Pipe Detailed Product Description
1. Product Overview
Galvanized steel pipe, fully named hot-dip galvanized welded steel pipe, is made by forming uniform and compact zinc-iron alloy layer and pure zinc layer on the surface of low-carbon steel pipe through hot-dip galvanizing process. It features high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, easy connection and cost effectiveness. It is mainly manufactured in accordance with national standard GB/T 3091-2025 Welded Steel Pipes for Low-pressure Fluid Transportation.
2. Material & Production Technology
2.1 Base Material
Main raw material: Q195, Q215, Q235B low-carbon carbon structural steel; Q345B low-alloy steel is available for high-pressure use.It has low carbon content, qualified sulfur and phosphorus content, good plasticity and excellent welding performance.
2.2 Hot-dip Galvanizing Process
Pickling: Remove surface oxide scale and rust
Cleaning and fluxing treatment
Hot dipping in molten zinc liquid at 450-460℃ to form composite anti-corrosion coating
Passivation treatment to enhance anti-rust performance
Cold galvanized pipes are eliminated in construction engineering due to thin zinc layer and poor anti-corrosion effect.

Standard length: 6 meters per piece, customized length available.Working pressure: conventional pipe ≤1.6MPa, thickened pipe up to 3.0MPa.Zinc layer weight: national standard ≥300g/㎡, buried outdoor type ≥400-500g/㎡.Connection mode: thread connection, flange connection, welding connection.

5. Application Scope
Building water supply and drainage system, fire protection pipeline system, municipal engineering pipeline, industrial cooling circulating water pipeline, ventilation and dust removal pipeline, agricultural greenhouse frame, building steel structure support, low-pressure gas delivery pipeline etc.
Not suitable for pure drinking water pipeline and strong acid-base corrosive medium transportation.
6. Quality Standard & Inspection
Executive Standards: GB/T 3091-2025, GB/T 13793Strictly inspect appearance quality, dimension tolerance, zinc layer adhesion, hydraulic pressure test and bending test before delivery.Each batch is delivered with official product qualification certificate.
7. Packaging, Transportation & Storage
Packing: sealed plastic pipe ends, bundled firm packaging.Transportation: avoid heavy collision to prevent zinc layer damage, keep away from rain and moisture.Storage: place in dry and ventilated warehouse, keep away from acid and alkali substances.
