Angle Steel Product Detailed Description
1. Basic Definition
Commonly known as angle iron, Angle Steel is a long steel product with an L-shaped right-angle cross-section of 90°. It belongs to simple section steel with two perpendicular sides, widely used for structural support and connection.
2. Product Classification
By Cross-section Type
Equal Angle Steel: Two sides with the same width, marked as ∠Side Width × Thickness (e.g. ∠50×5), model range from 2# to 20#.
Unequal Angle Steel: Two sides with different widths, marked as ∠Long Side × Short Side × Thickness (e.g. ∠63×40×5), model range from 3.2/2# to 20/12.5#.
By Production Process
Hot Rolled Angle Steel: Dense structure and high strength with oxide surface, widely used in construction and heavy-duty structures.
Cold Formed Angle Steel: Formed at normal temperature with uniform wall thickness and high precision, mainly used for light structures such as shelves and brackets.
3. Specifications & Dimensions (GB/T 706-2016)
Equal Angle Steel: Side width 20–200mm, thickness 3–24mm; standard length 6–12m, custom fixed length available.
Unequal Angle Steel: Long side 30–200mm, short side 20–125mm, thickness 3–18mm; standard length 6–12m.
Theoretical Weight Formula: W(kg/m)=0.00785 × Thickness × (2 × Side Width − Thickness).

9. Packaging & Delivery
Packing: Bundled in 50–100 pieces per bundle, labeled with specification, material and batch number.
