Alloy Steel Pipe Product Detailed Description
1. Product Definition
Alloy steel pipe is a seamless steel pipe made by adding alloy elements such as Chromium (Cr), Molybdenum (Mo), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn) and Vanadium (V) on the basis of carbon steel. The total content of alloy elements is usually more than 5%. It has the characteristics of high strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and creep resistance, and is an upgraded product of ordinary carbon steel pipe.
2. Main Materials and Chemical Composition
Common Materials (National Standard / American Standard)
15CrMoG / 12Cr1MoVG: Mainstream material for high-pressure boilers, corresponding to ASTM P11 / P12.
12Cr9Mo / P9: Chromium-molybdenum ferritic steel, resistant to high temperature up to 650℃, used for high temperature and high pressure pipelines.
P22 (Cr2Mo): Special for petrochemical high-temperature pipelines, long-term service temperature ≤ 550℃.
T91 / P91: Supercritical boiler steel with 8%-9.5% Chromium, featuring high strength and excellent creep resistance.

5. Production Process
Hot Rolling / Extrusion: Pipe billet → Heating → Piercing → Rolling / Extrusion → Sizing → Cooling → Straightening. High efficiency, suitable for medium and large diameter with uniform wall thickness.
Cold Drawing / Cold Rolling: Pipe billet → Piercing → Annealing → Pickling → Oiling → Multi-pass cold drawing → Heat treatment → Finishing. High dimensional accuracy and smooth surface, suitable for small diameter and thin-wall pipes.
Heat Treatment: Annealing and quenching & tempering to optimize mechanical properties, eliminate internal stress and improve structural stability.
6. Product Features
Mechanical Properties
Tensile Strength: 415-800MPa, 30%-50% higher than ordinary carbon steel.
Yield Strength: ≥205MPa, excellent impact resistance and fatigue resistance.
High Temperature Resistance
Long-term service temperature: 500℃-800℃, no softening or deformation under high temperature with strong creep resistance.
Corrosion Resistance
Resistant to corrosion by steam, oil, gas and acid-base media. The oxide film formed by Chromium can prevent rust expansion, with service life 2-3 times longer than carbon steel pipes.

Uniform structure and seamless design, no leakage risk under high pressure, maximum bearing pressure over 30MPa.

8. Quality Inspection
Dimensional Inspection: Verify outer diameter, wall thickness and length to meet standard tolerance.
Mechanical Test: Tensile, impact and hardness tests to ensure qualified strength and toughness.
Non-destructive Testing: UT, MT, RT inspection to ensure no cracks, inclusions and other defects.
Hydrostatic Test: Pressure test at 1.5 times working pressure, no leakage under pressure holding.
Chemical Analysis: Spectral detection to guarantee alloy element content compliance.
9. Packaging & Delivery
Packaging: Both ends sealed for dust and moisture proof, wrapped with anti-rust film and woven bag. Large diameter pipes bundled with steel strips to avoid deformation during transportation.
Delivery Cycle: 5-7 working days for regular specifications.
