High Pressure Boiler Tube Product Detailed Description
High pressure boiler tube is a core seamless steel pipe for pressure-bearing used in boilers of high pressure and above parameters. It is specially used for conveying high-temperature and high-pressure steam, working for a long time under the working conditions of 450–650℃ and ≥9.8MPa. It must possess high stress rupture strength, oxidation and corrosion resistance, structural stability and creep resistance, serving as the lifeline of power station boilers and petrochemical equipment.
1. Implementation Standards
Domestic Core Standard: GB/T 5310-2023 (latest current version, replacing the 2017 edition)
International Equivalent Standards: ASTM A335 (P11/P12/P22/P91/P92), EN 10216-2, DIN 17175
Application Scope: Boiler heating surface and steam pipeline with working pressure ≥9.8MPa and temperature 450–650℃; ordinary fluid steel pipe (GB/T 8163) is strictly prohibited for replacement.

Wall Thickness Range: 2–120mm, common size 4–80mm
Dimensional Tolerance: Outer diameter ±0.5%, wall thickness ±5%, standard length 6–12m (custom fixed length available)
Theoretical Weight Formula: W (kg/m) = 0.02466 × (Outer Diameter – Wall Thickness) × Wall Thickness
4. Production Process
Smelting: Electric arc furnace + LF refining + continuous casting; strictly control P ≤0.025%, S ≤0.010% to improve steel purity.
Pipe Making: Round billet → Hot rolling piercing → Cold rolling / Cold drawing sizing → Heat treatment (Normalizing + Tempering) → Finishing.
Heat Treatment: 20G (Normalizing); 15CrMoG / 12Cr1MoVG (Normalizing + Tempering); P91 (Quenching and Tempering) to ensure stable structure and high-temperature strength.
Non-destructive Testing: 100% Ultrasonic Testing (UT) + Hydrostatic Pressure Test; X-ray Testing (RT) is added for part of products.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test: Test pressure = 2 × Wall Thickness × Yield Strength / Outer Diameter, pressure holding time ≥30 seconds, no leakage and no deformation.

Power Station Boiler: Superheater tube, reheater tube, main steam pipe, air lead pipe, economizer tube (subcritical / supercritical / ultra-supercritical units).
Petrochemical Industry: Hydrogenation reactor pipeline, cracking furnace tube, high-temperature and high-pressure steam transmission pipeline.
Industrial Boiler: High-pressure heating boiler, waste heat boiler heating surface and steam pipeline.
Nuclear Power & Solar Thermal: Steam generator heat transfer tube, high-temperature molten salt pipeline (stainless steel material).
7. Quality Inspection & Packaging
Inspection Items: Dimensional accuracy, surface quality, mechanical properties, chemical composition, hydrostatic test, non-destructive testing, metallographic structure.
Surface Requirement: No cracks, folds, scars or heavy oxide scale on surface; inner wall clean and free of corrosion.
Packaging: Bundled packaging (each bundle ≤2 tons), both ends sealed with rust protection; attached with material certificate, quality certificate and inspection report.
8. Selection & Application Guidelines
Temperature Matching: ≤480℃ select 20G; 480–560℃ select 15CrMoG; 540–570℃ select 12Cr1MoVG; ≥580℃ select P91 / P92.
Pressure Matching: Subcritical (17–20MPa) adopt 12Cr1MoVG; Supercritical (24–28MPa) adopt P91; Ultra-supercritical (≥28MPa) adopt P92.
Operation & Maintenance: Regular inspection on wall thickness, oxide layer, corrosion and cracks; control medium flow velocity, avoid over-temperature and over-pressure operation.
