Flat Steel & Steel Structure Flat Steel,Q195、Q235、Q345、45#、40Cr、65Mn、20CrMnTi
I. Basic Definition
Flat steel is a long strip of steel with a rectangular cross-section, a width of 12–300mm, a thickness of 3–60mm, and blunt edges on all four sides. It belongs to the section steel category, also known as flat iron, and is widely used in various fields such as construction, machinery, and electric power. Its size and material can be customized according to requirements.
II. Material, Model and Corresponding Specification & Size (Core Supplement)
The material of flat steel determines its use and performance. Different materials correspond to different models, and the specification and size (thickness × width × length) can be customized on demand. The conventional length is 6m, 9m, 12m, and special fixed length can be negotiated (3m-18m). The following are the common materials and their corresponding detailed parameters:
(I) Carbon Structural Steel Flat Steel (Most Common, High Cost-Effectiveness)
Core Features: Low cost, good plasticity, easy welding, and excellent toughness. Suitable for general structural parts and welding parts. Implementation Standards: GB/T 700-2006 (Material Standard), GB/T 704-2018 (Size Standard).

III. Supplementary Instructions on Specification & Size
Size Expression Method: Uniformly adopt "thickness × width (mm)", such as 5×50mm. The length needs to be marked separately (e.g., 5×50×6000mm, which means thickness 5mm, width 50mm, length 6m).
Conventional and Fixed Length: The conventional length is 6m, 9m, 12m. The fixed length can be customized according to customer needs (3m-18m), and the delivery time for fixed length needs to be negotiated in advance.
Special Specifications: Special sizes with thickness
Deviation Description: All dimensional deviations are implemented in accordance with the corresponding implementation standards. For higher precision (such as cold-drawn flat steel ±0.05mm), special customization is available.
IV. Other Core Contents of the Original Product Description (Concise Retention)
(I) Production Process
1. Hot-Rolled Flat Steel (Mainstream): Steelmaking → Continuous Casting → Heating → Rough Rolling → Finish Rolling → Cooling → Straightening → Shearing → Inspection → Packaging. It has oxide scale on the surface and low cost;
2. Cold-Drawn Flat Steel: Hot-rolled billet → Pickling → Phosphating → Cold Drawing → Straightening → Cutting. High dimensional accuracy;
3. Bright Flat Steel: Polished after cold drawing, with a smooth surface;
4. Galvanized Flat Steel: Hot-dip galvanized after hot rolling/cold drawing, corrosion-resistant and durable.
(II) Mechanical Properties (Typical Values, Q235B)
Yield Strength (ReH) ≥235MPa, Tensile Strength (Rm) 375–500MPa, Elongation (A) ≥26%, Impact Absorption Energy (AKV) ≥27J (Room Temperature).
(III) Packaging and Delivery
Packaging: Bundled (50–200 pieces per bundle), galvanized/stainless steel needs moisture-proof packaging;
Marking: Each bundle is labeled with specification, material, batch number, manufacturer, and production date;
Delivery Time: 5–7 days for conventional specifications;
Transportation: Road transport/sea transport, protection against deformation and corrosion.
(IV) Selection Suggestions
Choose Q235 hot-rolled flat steel for general structural/welding parts;
Choose hot-dip galvanized flat steel for outdoor/corrosion-resistant environments;
Choose cold-drawn or bright flat steel for precision parts/high surface requirements;
Choose Q345, 45# or alloy steel flat steel for high-strength/wear-resistant parts.
