Cold Rolled Coil Product Detailed Description
Cold Rolled Coil (CRC) is made from hot rolled steel coil as raw material. After pickling to remove oxide scale, it is processed by cold continuous rolling at room temperature.
1. Production Process
Typical process flow: Hot Rolled Coil → Pickling → Cold Rolling → Annealing → Temper Rolling → Finishing → Finished Product
Pickling: Remove oxide scale on hot rolled surface to ensure surface cleanliness.
Cold Rolling: Rolled at normal temperature with reduced thickness, high surface finish and precise dimension.
Annealing: Eliminate work hardening, restore plasticity and toughness, and improve stamping performance.
Temper Rolling: Slight rolling to enhance flatness and surface quality, and improve yield plateau.
2. Core Characteristics
Excellent surface quality: Bright and mirror-like surface, free of oxide scale and pitting, low roughness (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm).
High dimensional accuracy: Thickness tolerance up to ±0.01~±0.05 mm, much better than hot rolled products.
Good mechanical properties: High tensile strength (300–800 MPa), good toughness and excellent stamping performance.
Smooth and beautiful surface: Uniform silver bright color, suitable for direct painting or serving as coating substrate.
Uniform microstructure and performance: Fine and uniform internal grain, small anisotropy and stable forming performance.
