This rolling tool cart puts everything within arm's reach at the service bay. One mobile station holds the tools for a full oil change, brake job, or suspension repair without leaving the vehicle.
Pegboard Back Panel Keeps Hand Tools Visible
The back panel holds perforated holes for hooks. Wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, socket sets, and pry bars hang at eye level. Technicians grab what they need without opening drawers or kneeling on the shop floor. The pegboard detaches from the frame when the job calls for a different layout. Remove it, reposition the hooks, and snap it back. No tools required to adjust the setup.
For shops that run multiple service bays, the pegboard system works as a visual inventory check. Every tool has a hook. Every hook has a spot. At the end of a shift, a quick glance tells the supervisor whether anything is missing before the technician clocks out.
4 Drawers with Central Locking
Four drawers slide on ball-bearing rails. The top drawer runs shallow for small hardware—cotter pins, split rings, wire terminals, O-rings, and grease fittings. The second drawer holds sockets and extensions. The third fits ratchets, breaker bars, and torque adapters. The bottom drawer stores power tools, diagnostic scanners, or impact wrenches.
A single key locks all four drawers at once. The central locking mechanism sits inside the drawer housing, protected from oil splatter and shop dust. Lock the cart during lunch breaks, shift changes, or overnight. No need for individual padlocks on each drawer. One turn of the key and the entire tool set stays secure.
Double-Door Cabinet Below
The bottom section opens with two doors on a piano hinge. Inside, an adjustable shelf divides the space into two levels. Store brake cleaner cans, shop towels, filter boxes, or spare bulbs in the lower cabinet. The doors close flush with the drawer frame, keeping the cart looking clean and professional when customers walk through the shop.
The shelf inside adjusts up or down to match the height of whatever gets stored. Tall oil filter boxes sit upright when the shelf moves to the lowest position. Flat items like trays of hardware stack neatly when the shelf sits at mid-height.
Silent 360° Casters
Four swivel casters mount at the base with double ball bearings in each housing. The wheel surface uses soft polyurethane that rolls across concrete, tile, and epoxy-coated shop floors without squeaking or chattering. Technicians push a fully loaded cart past a customer waiting in the lounge without the grinding noise that comes from cheap plastic wheels.
Two of the four casters include foot-activated brakes. Step on the pedal, the cart locks in place. Step off, it rolls again. The brakes hold firm when a technician leans into the cart for leverage while breaking loose a rusted bolt or lifting a transmission jack.
Left Side Knife Holder Slots
The left panel includes angled slots cut into the steel. These slots hold socket rails, screwdriver sets, or Allen key organizers vertically. Tools slide in from the top and stay put during movement. No rattling, no falling out when the cart rolls across the shop.
This feature comes from CNC workshop feedback. Auto technicians who also handle light fabrication or custom bracket work use these slots for drill bits, tap sets, and specialty bits. For pure auto repair shops, the slots work just as well for organizing socket organizers and extender bars.
Built for Daily Shop Use
The body uses cold-rolled steel welded at every joint. No bolt-together frames, no wobbly legs, no flexing when loaded down. The powder-coat finish comes in blue and white—the drawer faces and back panel in blue, the frame in white. The coating handles brake dust, spilled motor oil, degreaser overspray, and tire dressing without rusting or staining. Wipe it down with a shop rag between jobs.
The push handle on the side uses a tubular steel bar wrapped in a rubber grip. The grip does not slip when hands are greasy or wet. The handle height works for most technicians between 165cm and 190cm tall without hunching.
How Auto Repair Shops Use This Cart
Service Bay Workstation: One cart per bay. The technician rolls it to the vehicle, parks it at the side of the lift, and works from the cart for the entire job. Brakes lock. Tools stay organized. When the job finishes, roll the cart back to the wall. The bay floor clears in seconds.
Mobile Road Service: Technicians who run flatbed calls or roadside assistance load the cart into the truck. At the job site, the cart becomes a mobile workstation with every tool visible on the pegboard and organized in the drawers. The central lock keeps tools secure during transport.
Training Schools: Auto mechanic training programs assign one cart per student. The four drawers and pegboard teach tool organization from day one. Instructors check at a glance whether students return every tool to its proper place.
Independent Garages: Small shops with two or three lifts run two to three carts. Color-code by technician—blue tape for the senior tech, red tape for the apprentice. The central lock prevents accidental tool mixing between shifts.
Fits Through Standard Doorways
The cart width clears standard interior doors and garage entry points. Move the cart between the shop floor, the parts storage room, and the customer waiting area without turning sideways or removing tools. This matters in older garage buildings where doorframes sit at 800mm or narrower.
