Production Steps of Gabion Stone Cage Net
Gabion Stone Cage Net Manufacturing: The stone cage net is made of high-corrosion-resistant, high-strength, and ductile low-carbon steel wires or the above-mentioned steel wires coated with PVC by mechanical weaving. The box-shaped structure made of this net is the stone cage. According to ASTM and EN standards, the diameter of the low-carbon steel wire used varies according to the engineering design requirements. Generally, it is between 2.0 - 4.0mm. The tensile strength of the stone cage net steel wire is not less than 38kg/m2, and the metal coating weight is generally higher than 245g/m2. The diameter of the edge line of the stone cage net sheet is usually larger than the diameter of the mesh wire. The length of the double-twisted part shall not be less than 50mm to ensure that the metal coating and PVC coating of the steel wire in the twisted part are not damaged.
1、Materials Required for Making Stone Cage Net
The gabion stone cage net is a box made of metal wires woven into a mesh structure by mechanical double-twisting.
The net sheet is woven from high-quality low-carbon steel wires with a diameter of 2.0mm - 4.0mm. The surface of the steel wire is protected by hot-dip galvanizing, and the thickness of the galvanized protective layer can be made according to the customer's requirements.
The PVC net sheet is a net woven after coating a layer of PVC protective layer on the surface of the galvanized iron wire.
It is an ecological grid structure. The ecological grid is a new type of material structure widely used in traffic, water conservancy, municipal, garden, soil and water conservation and other engineering projects in recent years. The stone cage net is made of corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant and high-strength low-carbon high-galvanized steel wires or 5% aluminum-zinc rare earth alloy coated steel wires, which are mechanically double-twisted and woven into a multi-twisted, hexagonal mesh net sheet. The length of the double-twisted part should not be less than 5cm to avoid damaging the protective coating of the steel wire. The ecological grid can be assembled into box cages according to the engineering design requirements, and then connected into one body after filling with stones and other filling materials, which is used as a new technology for embankment, subgrade protection and other projects.
However, for safety reasons, be sure to use wire mesh that meets the standards for production. Do not be greedy for cheapness, which may bring potential safety hazards to future use and personal safety.
Advantages of Gabion Stone Cage Net: 1. The flexible structure can adapt to the changes of the slope without being damaged, and has better safety and stability than the rigid structure;
2. It has a strong anti-scouring ability and can withstand a water flow speed of up to 6m/s;
3. This structure is essentially permeable and has a strong tolerance for the natural effect and filtering effect of groundwater. The suspended matter and silt in the water can be deposited in the gaps of the filled stones, which is conducive to the growth of natural plants and gradually restores the original ecological environment.
