3. Product Overview
Hot rolled ribbed steel bars are deformed steel bars formed by high-temperature hot rolling with regular longitudinal ribs and crescent transverse ribs. They have a round cross-section. The rib design significantly improves mechanical bonding with concrete and prevents slippage, making them a key reinforcing material for concrete structures.
4. Grade & Strength Grade
Grades are composed of HRB + yield strength value (H=Hot Rolled, R=Ribbed, B=Bar). Grades marked with E are seismic-resistant steel bars:
HRB400 / HRB400E: Yield strength ≥ 400MPa, Grade 3 rebar, widely used in civil construction and multi-storey frames
HRB500 / HRB500E: Yield strength ≥ 500MPa, Grade 4 rebar, used in high-rise buildings, bridges and heavy-duty structures
HRB600 / HRB600E: Yield strength ≥ 600MPa, Grade 5 high-strength rebar, for long-span and super high-rise projects

Common nominal diameters: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm
Standard lengths: 9m, 12m; customized lengths from 6m to 12m are available for export
Length tolerance: 0 ~ +50mm
Weight tolerance: ±6% for 6–12mm; ±5% for 14–20mm; ±4% for 22–50mm
6. Chemical Composition
Made of high-quality carbon structural steel or low-alloy high-strength steel (micro-alloyed with V, Nb, Ti, etc.). Typical composition (%):
C: ≤ 0.38
Si: ≤ 0.80
Mn: 1.20–1.60
P: ≤ 0.045
S: ≤ 0.045
Ceq: ≤ 0.52 (ensuring weldability)

Key Requirements for Seismic Grade E: High ductility and energy absorption, improving structural safety during earthquakes.

9. Application
Widely used in industrial and civil buildings, bridges, tunnels, railways, highways, water conservancy, ports and other reinforced concrete structures as main and structural reinforcement.
10. Packaging, Marking & Transportation
Packaging: Bundled by specification, each bundle with metal tag indicating grade, size, heat number, batch number, manufacturer and standard
Marking: Clear grade, diameter and mill mark rolled on the bar surface
Transportation: Rainproof, moisture-proof, collision-proof and distortion-proof
11. Order Information
Please specify: grade (HRB400E/500E), nominal diameter, length, quantity (tons/pieces)
Seismic structures must use grade E rebar
Special requirements (export, welding, anti-corrosion) shall be stated in the contract
