The TFF automatic tangential flow filtration system is an easy-to-use automatic ultrafiltration (UF/DF) system, suitable for various processes such as research and development, small-scale harvest, clarification or concentration, and fluid replacement in biopharmaceuticals. It adopts a fully automatic intelligent design, automatically controlling TMP to achieve functions such as automatic concentration, equal volume washing filtration, automatic collection, and automatic data recording. There are multiple models available to meet the needs of different membrane materials.


It provides a flexible tangential flow filtration (TFF) system for process development from laboratory environments to commercial production batches and for the production of clinical trial products. The TFF product portfolio can be combined with a series of accessories, enabling flexible adaptation to unique requirements, including cost-effective multiple-use systems or closed systems with disposable sterile tubing.

 

The tangential flow filtration technology is a widely adopted membrane separation technique at present, which is used for sample concentration, dialysis, separation and filtration. The typical molecular weight range of retention is: 1 - 1000 kd.

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a method for separating very small particles and soluble molecules from a solution. This separation is mainly based on the size of the particles or molecules, but the permeability of the membrane material is also affected by the chemical, molecular and charge properties of the sample. Ultrafiltration is typically used to separate molecules that differ in size by 3-5 times, and is not suitable for separating molecules of similar size.

Microfiltration (MF) is a process that separates soluble substances from large particles (such as cell debris), significantly improving the clarity of the sample and reducing the turbidity of the solution, making it easier for subsequent downstream processing.
