Flat Steel Product Description
Flat steel, also known as flat bar, is a long strip of steel with a rectangular cross-section, featuring uniform thickness, smooth surface and excellent mechanical properties. It is a widely used section steel in industrial production and construction fields, with the advantages of easy processing, strong adaptability and high cost performance, serving as an important basic component for various structures and equipment.
1. Product Classification
By Production Process
Hot Rolled Flat Steel: Formed by hot rolling at high temperature, with high strength, complete specifications and wide application. It is the most commonly used type of flat steel, suitable for general structural purposes.
Cold Drawn Flat Steel: Formed by cold drawing of steel billets, with high dimensional accuracy, smooth surface and uniform thickness. It is suitable for precision machinery, hardware accessories and other occasions with high requirements.
Cold Rolled Flat Steel: With thinner thickness, higher precision and better surface finish, it is mainly used in light industry, electronics and decorative fields.
By Surface Treatment
Black Flat Steel (Hot Rolled): No surface treatment, original color of hot rolled steel, suitable for indoor scenes or occasions that need secondary anti-corrosion treatment (such as painting, galvanizing).
Hot-Dip Galvanized Flat Steel: Surface is coated with a layer of zinc through hot-dip process, which has excellent anti-corrosion and anti-rust performance, suitable for outdoor, humid, coastal and other harsh environments.
Pickled Flat Steel: Surface is treated by pickling to remove oxide scale, with clean surface, convenient for subsequent processing and coating.
By Material
Carbon Steel Flat Steel: The most commonly used type, including Q235, Q355, S235JR, S355JR, A36, SS400, etc., with moderate strength and good weldability.

3.1 Common Materials & Chemical Composition
Q235
Chemical Composition (%): C ≤ 0.22, Si ≤ 0.35, Mn 0.30-0.70, P ≤ 0.045, S ≤ 0.045
Application: General construction,shelves, and other non-heavy load structures.
Q355 (formerly Q345)
Chemical Composition (%): C ≤ 0.24, Si ≤ 0.55, Mn 1.00-1.60, P ≤ 0.035, S ≤ 0.035, Nb+V+Ti 0.02-0.15
Application: Heavy-duty structures, bridges, power towers, and other occasions requiring high strength.
3.2 Mechanical Properties
Q235: Yield Strength ≥ 235 MPa, Tensile Strength 370-500 MPa, Elongation ≥ 26%, Impact Energy ≥ 27J (20℃)
Q355: Yield Strength ≥ 355 MPa, Tensile Strength 470-630 MPa, Elongation ≥ 21%, Impact Energy ≥ 34J (20℃)

Delivery Condition: Hot rolled (black), hot-dip galvanized, pickled, etc.
Packing: Bundled packing with steel strips, suitable for ocean transportation and land transportation, preventing damage during transportation.
Delivery Time: 5-7 days for regular stock products; delivery time for customized specifications or galvanized products will be negotiated separately.
