Before the construction of self-leveling cement, the base floor must be ground with a grinder to remove impurities, dust, and sand on the floor. Grind the locally raised areas of the floor flat. After grinding, sweep away the dust and vacuum it clean.
After cleaning the floor, before applying the self-leveling cement, it must be treated with a surface treatment agent. Dilute the treatment agent according to the manufacturer's requirements, and evenly apply the floor surface treatment agent on the floor with a lint-free wool roller in a horizontal and then vertical direction. Ensure uniform application without gaps. After applying the treatment agent, depending on the performance of different manufacturers' products, wait for a certain period of time before starting the construction of the self-leveling cement on top.
The cement surface treatment agent can increase the adhesion between the self-leveling cement and the floor, preventing the self-leveling cement from peeling off and cracking.
