Gas Thermal Mass Flow Meter
1. Product Introduction
Thermal mass flowmeter is based on the principle of thermal conduction for measurement. In the field of gas mass flow measurement, especially in situations where low pressure loss, wide range ratio and micro-flow measurement are required, it has irreplaceable advantages. It is an efficient, energy-saving and powerful tool in gas flow measurement.
2.Main Features
1) Directly measure the mass flow of gas
It can directly output the volume flow or mass flow under standard conditions without the need for temperature and pressure compensation like other flowmeters. This simplifies system configuration, improves measurement accuracy and efficiency, especially suitable for trade settlement and strict process control.
2) Extremely low pressure loss
Sensors are usually just one or a pair of tiny probes inserted into the pipe, causing minimal obstruction to fluid flow. This gives it a significant advantage in systems that require energy conservation and consumption reduction, such as compressed air measurement and large-diameter gas flow measurement.
3) No moving parts, high reliability
Like vortex flowmeters, the thermal flowmeter also has no movable parts, a sturdy structure, is not easily worn, has a long service life, and requires very little maintenance.
4) Wide range ratio
The range of a thermal flowmeter can usually reach 100:1. This means that it can accurately measure both small flow rates (such as pipeline leaks) and large flow rates at full scale, with extremely high application flexibility.
5) Excellent ability to measure low flow rates and small flow rates
It is highly sensitive to low flow rates, making it an ideal choice for measuring small flow rates such as leakage, ventilation, and purging air.
6) Wide range of applicable pipe diameters
From DN15 to DN1500, thermal flowmeters (especially insertion type) can be used for measurement, and the cost advantage is significant in applications with large pipe diameters.
7) High precision and good repeatability
For the measurement of clean gas, it can achieve high precision and excellent repeatability. As it is a direct mass flow measurement, its long-term stability is also very good.

4.Product application
Gas flow measurement is an application field of thermal flowmeters.
1)Compressed Air measurement and energy management:
The compressed air consumption measurement of each workshop and equipment within the factory is used for cost allocation
and leakage detection.
2) Combustion Control and energy gas measurement:
Measure the mass flow rate of fuel gases such as combustion-supporting air (air), natural gas, coal gas, and hydrogen to optimize
combustion efficiency.
3) Environmental Monitoring and Process Control
Flue gas/exhaust emission monitoring: Measure the flue gas flow in the CEMS system.
Biogas and flare gas measurement: Measure the flow of biogas produced in sewage treatment, landfill sites and other places.
4) Semiconductor and Electronics industry:
Measure high-purity special gases, such as helium (He), argon (Ar), nitrogen (N2), etc.
5) Chemical and Pharmaceutical industry:
Measure various reaction gases and raw gas. Its corrosion resistance and direct mass flow output are highly favored.
