Attieke is produced from fresh cassava roots and it’s the main food in some West African countries, especially in the Ivory Coast. Very long ago, people used the traditional way to produce attieke, which is a very low working efficiency. The article will introduce a whole set attieke machine for improving production efficiency.
How to make attieke?
Attiekie is made from fresh cassava roots by washing, peeling, grinding, dehydrating, crushing, pelletizing, and steaming.
1. Wash cassava roots freshly harvested from the farm.
2. Remove the first and second layers of skin from the cassava root.
3. Grind the peeled cassava into cassava paste.
4. Ferment the cassava paste in a bag.
5. Squeeze out the water to dehydrate the cassava paste.
6. Grind the cassava cake into powder to make pellets.
7. Steam the tapioca granules and finally make attieke.

Dry Sieve
This equipment is used to remove impurities attached to the surface of cassava tubers. When the machine is running, impurities on the cassava roots can be removed by the friction between the cassava and the equipment, and finally discharged from the bottom gap.
Paddle Washing Machine
After cassava is cleaned by a dry sieve, it can be sent to a paddle washing machine for thorough cleaning. The machine adopts the counter-current cleaning principle. During the cleaning process, the direction of the cassava is opposite to the direction of the water flow, to achieve perfect cleaning effect.
Sand Roller Peeler
Our newly designed peeling machine uses a sand roller to remove cassava skin. It removes the first and second layers of peel from the cassava root very well. During the peeling process, water spray will be added to remove the residual peel.
Cassava Grinder
This machine is used to grind peeled cassava into paste. The grinder is a hot seller in African countries due to its ease of operation and low price. In addition, the grinder can be used with a diesel engine if the local power supply is insufficient or unstable.
Hydraulic Press Machine
This machine is used to squeeze water out of fermented cassava paste. The whole body of the machine is made of stainless steel to ensure the safety of food production. The machine is equipped with a control box for easy operation.
After the dehydration process, people need to make pellets by hand and prepare a cooking container to steam cassava pallets and get attieke as the final product.
