Transparent nylon is an amorphous or microcrystalline thermoplastic nylon with a light transmittance superior to that of PC and glass, which can meet relatively demanding optical applications. Made of nylon material with high barrier properties and excellent retort resistance, transparent nylon has better oil resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, scratch resistance and other properties than other transparent plastics, and is widely used in the fields of automobiles, electronics and electrical appliances, machinery, optics, sports, etc.
Transparent nylon materials have very high requirements for production processes and equipment.
Drying
Drying treatment must be carried out before processing to ensure that the moisture content of the raw material is less than 0.1%. Otherwise, disadvantages such as bubbles, water marks or a decrease in product physical properties may occur during processing. It is recommended to use a dehumidifying dryer or a vacuum oven for drying. It should be noted that if the drying temperature is too high, the raw material will turn yellow, which needs to be paid special attention to when processing natural or colored parts.
Use of recycled materials
This material can be recycled, but products cannot be made entirely from recycled materials. The specific proportion of recycled materials to be added can be determined according to the relevant quality requirements of the final product. However, when adding recycled materials, attention should also be paid to aspects such as the drying of the raw material, impurities, the proportion of addition, color change, and the decrease in physical properties. Recycled materials should be crushed before use and crushed as evenly as possible, and the particles should not be too large.
