100ml Plunger Rod
The plunger rod of the high-pressure infusion pump is the core component of infusion pumps in analytical equipment such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It is mainly responsible for driving the intake and discharge of the mobile phase, and achieving high-pressure and constant-flow liquid transportation.
Structure and Materials
White rod body: Usually made of ceramics (alumina/zirconia) or sapphire. These materials possess extremely high hardness, wear resistance, and chemical stability, enabling them to operate for a long time in high-pressure and highly corrosive flowing media environments. Moreover, their surface smoothness is extremely high, which can reduce wear against the sealing ring.
Metal connection head: Generally made of 316L stainless steel, it is used to connect with the driving mechanism of the pump to transfer the power of reciprocating motion. It also has excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
Maintenance Points
It is necessary to regularly inspect whether there is any wear or scratches on the surface of the plunger rod. If any damage occurs, it will lead to the failure of the seal and a decrease in the flow accuracy.
- It is recommended to use it in conjunction with the plunger cleaning device to promptly rinse the residual mobile phase on the surface of the rod body, thereby reducing the damage to the rod body caused by crystallization and corrosion.
