U-shaped bent part, also known as bent pipe, is a pipe fitting used for pipeline turning, the processing method is divided into two types: cold simmering and hot simmering, generally small and medium-sized pipe diameter elbows are cold bending processing, and large pipe diameters need to be hot bent treatment. Its materials cover carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals, and are widely used in building materials, shipbuilding, chemical and gas pipeline systems.
Hot simmered bent pipe is formed by heating plastic forming, suitable for non-ferrous metal pipes and plastic pipes; The cold-boiled pipe needs to comply with the "Technical Specification for Cold-bent Pipe of the Second Line of West-to-East Gas Transmission Pipeline", and uses automated equipment to complete blanking, cutting and bending forming.
The super duplex stainless steel S32750 material U-shaped bend needs to adopt cold forming forming process, and after bending, it needs to be locally annealed above 1075°C and protected by inert gas. The ferrite content was detected using the ASTM E562 point grid method [1]. In an ethylene plant, the 0Cr18Ni10Ti stainless steel U-shaped bend pipe was mixed with sulfur-containing substances in the medium, resulting in stress corrosion cracks.
The product execution standards include DL/T515 "Power Station Bend" and SY5257 "Steel Bend", with a bending radius range of R≥3D (D is the pipe diameter), and the length of the straight section can be customized from 300mm to 1500mm.
