Introduction to pre-twisted vibration dampers
The pre-twisted vibration damper has a simple structure. It is wound around the outer layer of the conductor. A set of pre-twisted wires forms an empty tube to wrap the conductor, preventing the conductor from being worn.
The vibration dampers for electrified railways are divided into two categories. One is for auxiliary conductors, and the other is for messenger wires.

The structural form of the pre-twisted vibration damper for auxiliary conductors is shown in the following figure

The pre-twisted vibration damper for auxiliary conductors is made of aluminum alloy pre-twisted wires. The pre-twisted vibration damper should be marked with a central color code. The color code is the starting point for installation and also serves as a color identifier to distinguish products. The color code should be clearly visible, and the width should be no less than 2cm. The specific parameters are shown in the following table.

Usage
The center of the pre-twisted anti-wear protection strip for messenger wires is aligned with the support point or suspension point and wound around the outer layer of the messenger wire, holding the messenger wire properly. The pre-twisted anti-wear protection strip can protect the messenger wire from direct wear by the messenger wire seat and extend the service life of the messenger wire.
In the above table, HX3 is the pre-twisted vibration damper for messenger wires. The vibration dampers for messenger wires are divided into two types according to the material. One is made of copper-clad steel, and the other is made of copper alloy.
