The working principles of powders of various models of fluorescent whitening agents:
Fluorescent whitening agents can absorb invisible ultraviolet light (with a wavelength range of approximately 360 - 380) and convert it into visible light of longer wavelengths, such as blue or purple light. Therefore, they can compensate for the unwanted slight yellow color in the substrate and reflect more visible light within a wider wavelength range than the originally incident light, making the products appear whiter, brighter, and more vivid. Their function is to convert the invisible ultraviolet light absorbed by the products into violet - blue fluorescence, which complements the original yellow light to form white light, thereby improving the whiteness of the products in sunlight.
