1. Product Introduction


WR430 Ion Exchange Resin is a chelating ion exchange resin with a macroporous selective adsorption capacity of iminodiacetic acid functional groups. It is especially suitable for the removal of cationic heavy metals and the removal of calcium and magnesium in high-salt environments. The macroporous resin structure ensures the superiority of ion diffusion, thus providing efficient complete removal and regeneration performance. This resin can remove metals from water with a relatively low pH, and it is a cost-effective method. Metals can be removed by adjusting the pH to an appropriate range, but the pH must be kept below 6 to prevent the formation of metal oxide and hydroxide precipitates. This resin has a higher affinity for nickel, and the selectivity order is: Cu>Ni > Zn > Co > Mg > Ca > Na.

IV. Product applications


The extreme selectivity of this product makes the ion exchange process highly efficient. Unlike other processes such as reverse osmosis, it only targets specific metal ions that need to be removed from the solution, and is suitable for removing hardness ions in high-salt environments. It has no effect on other irrelevant ions such as sodium, lithium, bicarbonate, and chlorine. This product has the typical characteristic of removing heavy metal ions from the water or wastewater to be treated. 


V. Flow rate and resin backwashing


1. Backwash for 10 to 15 minutes, control the expansion rate of the resin bed at 30% - 50%, and the backwash volume is 2 to 5 times the volume of the resin bed; 

2. Use 4 - 5% hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid to regenerate the resin counter-currently at a flow rate of 4BV/H for 30 - 60 minutes; 

3. Backwash the resin with pure water or soft water at a flow rate of 4 - 10BV/H for 30 minutes; 

4. Backwash the resin bed with 5% sodium hydroxide at a flow rate of 4BV/H, and the transformation time is 30 - 60 minutes;
