Anchor rod is a kind of building material used to strengthen engineering structures. It mainly consists of anchor head, tie rod and anchor body. One end of the anchor is connected to the engineering structure, and the other end is anchored in the soil or rock layer. In this way, the anchor can withstand the tension generated by earth pressure, water pressure, wind load, etc., thereby maintaining the stability of the structure. 12
Anchors can be divided into two types: prestressed and non-prestressed. Prestressed anchors are usually used in deep foundation pit retaining, slope reinforcement, landslide remediation, pool anti-floating, retaining wall anchoring and structure anti-overturning projects. It consists of an anchor head, a tie rod and an anchor body. The anchor section is located in the soil or rock layer, while the free section refers to the area where the tie rod is connected to the anchor head.
The use of anchor rods can simplify the basic structure, make the structure lighter and more reasonably stressed, and has the advantages of occupying less space, shortening the construction period, and reducing the cost. They can be used for temporary support of deep excavation pits or as permanent foundations for engineering structures. The use of anchors on the retaining structure of the house foundation pit can effectively prevent the surrounding soil from collapsing, shifting and settling.
In addition, there are many types of anchors, such as self-rotating anchor pipes, system anchors and wire rope anchors, each of which are suitable for different geological conditions and engineering needs.
