The performance of anthracite filter material in the filtration process directly affects the quality of the filtered water. Therefore, the selection of this filter material must meet the following requirements:

　　 High mechanical strength. The sum of the crushing rate and wear rate should not be greater than 3% (the percentage is calculated by mass).

　　 Stable chemical properties, containing no toxic substances. It is insoluble in general acidic, alkaline, and neutral water. The factory - produced products were measured by the China Water Treatment Filter Material Supervision and Testing Center: the hydrochloric acid solubility rate is 0.68% (the ministerial standard is 3.5), and good purification effects can be achieved in various water sources.

　　 Reasonable particle size gradation and large specific surface area. The product has a spherical and angular appearance with good gloss. After three screenings by mechanical vibration, the gradation meets the relevant technical indicators. The uniformity coefficient (K60) is not greater than 1.5 (Japanese standard), the non - uniformity coefficient (K80) is between 1.6 - 2.0, and the porosity is greater than 50%.
