The entire series of Fisher pipeline silencers can provide excellent noise reduction performance in applications where valves generate a large amount of noise. After installation, the total pressure drop of the system will be shared by the valve and the silencer. This enables the valve to operate with a lower pressure drop ratio, thereby reducing the noise level generated during the flow through the control valve. Options include: 6010 with an integrated outlet connector, 6011 of the pipeline type, and Whisper butterfly plate.
Fisher™ Pipeline Noise Absorber is mainly used for noise suppression.
The materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys.
Operating temperature: standard temperature, high temperature.
Connection types for the process components.
6010: Flanged type, butt-welding, socket-welding
6011: Clamp type, flanged type
Noise-absorbing sheets: Convex surface, RTJ, flanged type
Valve sizes:
6010: NPS 1 to NPS 26, maximum NPS 72
6011: NPS 2 to NPS 48
Noise-absorbing sheets: NPS 2 to NPS 36
The silencer offers a variety of unique versions, providing suitable solutions for various applications. The silencer does not need to be installed close to the control valve.
If the correct silencer-valve combination is chosen, the noise can be reduced by up to 40 dBA.
The silencer-valve combination can retain the pressure/flow control of the standard control valve. Moreover, it can also reduce the generation of destructive noise and vibration.
All Fisher silencers (pipe silencers and vent hole silencers) are sturdy and durable static equipment. After installation, no maintenance is required. The combination of these features can achieve stronger noise control at a lower cost.
