Battery Pack Assembly Workbench — ESD Safe Heavy Duty Bench for Li-Ion Production Lines
If you're running a lithium-ion battery assembly line, you already know the problem. Static discharge near cell terminals is not a maybe-bad-thing. It's a direct hit to your yield. One zap and that cell is compromised — internal damage you can't see until it fails in the field. And in a battery pack, one bad cell takes the whole pack with it.
We build workbenches that stop that from happening.
What it is and why it works
This is a heavy-duty assembly bench designed specifically for Li-Ion cell and pack production environments. The top surface is a 5mm polymer composite ESD laminate bonded to a high-density fiberboard core — it drains static through a ground chain connection to your facility's earth point. Surface resistance stays in the 10⁶–10⁹ ohm range, right where ESD S20.20 says it should be.
We don't use stick-on mats. You know how those peel at the edges after six months and collect flux dust and solder balls? This surface is bonded permanently. No peeling. No lifting. No dead spots where static builds up again.
The frame is cold-rolled steel, welded — not bolted together with angle brackets like the cheap stuff. Cold-rolled steel holds its shape under load. Hot-rolled steel (what most budget benches use) has rough surface finish and inconsistent thickness. Over time, hot-rolled frames rack and wobble, especially when you're stacking battery modules that weigh 30-40kg each. Our frame doesn't move.
Load capacity that matches real production conditions
A standard euro pallet (1200×800mm) loaded with finished cells runs about 800–1200kg. We test our benches at a uniform load of 3000kg. That's not a theoretical number — we put the weight on it and measure deflection. In practical terms, you can place two loaded pallets on this bench and it won't sag, twist, or lean.

Tool organization that doesn't waste your setup time
On a battery assembly line, operators spend a surprising amount of time reaching for tools. Torque wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeter probes, cell testers — if they're scattered across the bench or stashed in a drawer under the table, that's seconds per reach. Multiply by hundreds of cycles a day and you're losing real production time.
We offer modular storage add-ons that attach directly to the bench:
Square hole pegboard — 10×10mm holes on 28mm centers. Hang torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, ESD wrist strap testers. Pegboard is 450mm tall, fits across the full bench width.
Louver pegboard — 50×20mm slots. Designed for plastic bin holders. Keep small parts — washers, terminals, cell spacers — visible and reachable.
Drawer units — bolt under the tabletop (suspended) or as a standalone cabinet. Linked self-locking lock with hardened steel core. One key locks all drawers. No loose keys, no unlocked drawers with expensive test equipment inside.
Light frame — mounts on top, provides even lighting across the work surface. No shadows when you're inspecting cell tabs or busbar welds.
All modular parts are interchangeable. If your line changes layout next quarter, you move the pegboard and drawers to the new bench configuration. Nothing is welded in place.
Power that keeps cords off your work surface
We route power through the back of the bench frame. A recessed panel holds one five-outlet socket (two-prong + three-prong combination) and one circuit breaker switch. The idea is simple: your work surface stays clear. No power strips sitting on the bench where they collect metal dust. No extension cords dangling and catching on parts.
Shipping and packaging that gets here in one piece
These benches ship KD — knocked down. We've been exporting for years and we learned the hard way what happens when a container crosses the equator and the interior hits 60°C with 95% humidity. Every steel part gets wrapped in moisture-proof film. Corners get foam edge protectors. All hardware is bagged and taped to the frame piece so nothing goes missing.
Assembly time for an experienced maintenance tech: about 20 minutes. We include a printed guide with photos.
Colors and finish
The frame comes in gray-white (RAL 9003) with a textured powder coat. Drawers are blue. The work surface is forest green. The powder coat is electrostatic — we bake it on at 180°C, so it won't chip, flake, or yellow under UV.
FAQ
What's the MOQ? We don't have a strict one. We sell single units to labs and hundreds to factories. If you only need one bench for a pilot line — that works.
Can you put my logo on it? Yes. Silkscreen logo on the drawer face or frame. We also do custom packaging with your brand name and manual.
What certifications do you have? CE certified. The ESD surface is tested to ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards. We can provide test reports with each shipment.
What's the lead time? For standard sizes, 15–20 working days after order confirmation. For custom sizes (width, depth, special cutouts), 20–25 days.
Do you offer FOB pricing? Yes. We quote FOB Shanghai or CIF to your port. Pricing direct from our production base — no middle layers.
