We sell 254SMo steel bar and laser-cut S31254 steel plate, both thin and thick, of high quality.
254SMO (UNS S31254, EN 1.4547) is a high-alloy super austenitic stainless steel, primarily composed of chromium (19.5-20.5%), nickel (17.5-18.5%), molybdenum (6.0-6.5%), and nitrogen, with a carbon content ≤0.02%.
This material is specifically designed for high-chloride ion environments, exhibiting excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and uniform corrosion. With a PREN value of 43, it is suitable for applications in marine engineering, petrochemicals, flue gas desulfurization, seawater desalination, and food processing.
Its properties are optimized through solution treatment (quenching at 1040-1100℃), achieving a tensile strength ≥620MPa and a yield strength ≥320MPa, combining high strength with good toughness.
The manufacturing process involves traditional methods such as forging and rolling, and specialized materials such as ERNiCrMo-3 are required for the welding.
The applicable standards include ASTM A240, EN 1.4547, and GB/T 3280. It can replace some nickel-based alloys and titanium alloys in chloride-acidic environments.
