304 stainless steel is a general-purpose austenitic stainless steel widely used in industrial production and daily life due to its excellent comprehensive properties.

Material Properties

Chemical Composition: 304 stainless steel contains 18%-20% chromium and 8%-10.5% nickel. This classic 18/8 composition ratio gives it a stable austenitic structure.

Mechanical Properties: The material has a tensile strength of not less than 520 MPa, a yield strength of not less than 205 MPa, and an elongation of over 40%, exhibiting both good strength and ductility.

Corrosion Resistance: 304 stainless steel has good resistance to most common corrosive media, including air, water vapor, and fresh water. However, in chloride-containing environments, attention should be paid to its tendency for pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

Physical Properties: 304 stainless steel is non-magnetic or weakly magnetic at room temperature, possesses good toughness and ductility, and has a wide operating temperature range (-196°C to 800°C).
