Product Description
ASTM B127 Monel 400 plate manufacturer UNS N04400 nickle sheet  alloy monel

Product Description

Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy (about 67% Ni - 23% Cu) that is resistant to sea water and steam at high temperatures as well as to salt and caustic solutions. Alloy 400 is a solid solution alloy that can only be hardened by cold working. This nickel alloy exhibits characteristics like good corrosion resistance, good weldability and high strength. A low corrosion rate in rapidly flowing brackish or seawater combined with excellent resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in most freshwaters, and its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions led to its wide use in marine applications and other non-oxidizing chloride solutions. This nickel alloy is particularly resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated. As would be expected from its high copper content, alloy 400 is rapidly attacked by nitric a cid and ammonia systems. Monel 400 has great mechanical properties at subzero temperatures, can be used in temperatures up to 1000° F, and its melting point is 2370-2460° F. However, alloy 400 is low in strength in the annealed condition so, a variety of tempers may be used to increase the strength.

Features:
* Resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures
* Excellent resistance to rapidly flowing brackish water or seawater
* Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in most freshwaters
* Particularly resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated
* Offers some resistance to hydrochloric and sulfuric acids at modest temperatures and concentrations, but is seldom the material of choice for these acids
* Excellent resistance to neutral and alkaline salt
* Resistance to chloride induced stress corrosion cracking
* Good mechanical properties from sub-zero temperatures up to 1020° F
* High resistance to alkalis

Applications:
* Valves, pumps, shafts, fittings, and fasteners
* Industrial heat exchangers
* Chlorinated solvents
* Crude oil distillation towers
* Marine engineering
* Chemical and hydrocarbon processing equipment
* Gasoline and freshwater tanks
* Crude petroleum stills
* De-aerating heaters
* Boiler feed water heaters and other heat exchangers

Stainless Steel 304 316L Stainless Steel Plate Bright Surface Stainless Steel Corrosion and High Temperature Resistance

201 Stainless Steel

Copper content: J4>J1>J3>J2>J5.

Carbon content: J5>J2>J3>J1>J4.

Hardness arrangement: J5, J2>J3>J1>J4.

The order of prices from high to low is: J4>J1>J3>J2, J5.

J1(Mid Copper): The carbon content is slightly higher than J4 and the copper content is lower than J4. Its processing performance is less thanJ4. It is suitable for ordinary shallow drawing and deep drawing products, such as decorative board, sanitary products, sink,product tube, etc.

J2, J5:Decorative tubes: Simple decorative tubes are still good, because the hardness is high (both above 96°) and the polishing is morebeautiful, but the square tube or the curved tube (90°) is prone to bursting. In terms of flat plate: due to the high hardness, the board surface is beautiful, and the surface treatment such as frosting, polishing and plating is acceptable. But the biggest problem is the bending problem, the bend is easy to break, and the groove is easy to burst. Poor extensibility.

J3(Low Copper): Suitable for decorative tubes. Simple processing can be done on the decorative panel, but it is not possible with a little difficulty. There is feedback that the shearing plate is bent, and there is an inner seam after breaking (black titanium,color plate series, sanding plate, broken, folded out with inner seam). The sink material has been tried to bend, 90 degrees, but it will not continue.

J4(High Copper): It is the higher end of the J series. It is suitable for small angle types of deep drawing products. Most of the products that require deep salt picking and salt spray test will choose it. For example, sinks, kitchen utensils, bathroom products, water bottles, vacuum flasks, door hinges, shackles, etc.

304 Stainless Steel

304 is a versatile stainless steel that is widely used to make equipment and parts that require good overall performance (corrosion resistance and formability). In order to maintain the inherent corrosion resistance of stainless steel, steel must contain more than 18% chromium and more than 8% nickel.

316 stainless steel

316 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance, atmospheric corrosion resistance, and high-temperature strength due to the addition of Mo, which can be used under harsh conditions; excellent work hardening (non-magnetic). Equipment for seawater use,chemical, dye, papermaking, oxalic acid, fertilizer and other production equipment; photographs, food industry, facilities incoastal areas, ropes, CD rods, bolts, nuts.

430 stainless steel

Type 430 Stainless Steel is perhaps the most popular non-hardenable ferritic stainless steel available. Type 430 is known for good corrosion, heat, oxidation resistance, and its decorative nature.It is important to note that when well polished or buffed its corrosion resistance increases. All welding must occur at higher temperatures, but it is easily machined, bent, and formed. Thanks to this combination it is used in a number of different commercial and industrial applications including:Furnace combustion chambers,Automotive trim and molding,Gutters and downspouts,Nitric acid plant equipment,Oil and Gas refinery equipment,Restaurant equipment,Dishwasher
