The IS200TBCIS1C terminal board is part of the General Electric Mark VI turbine control system. Like earlier GE Speedtronic systems, the Mark VI features three different "voting" control modules and allows for triple modular redundancy control. Using an input/output card rack in a 9 to 21 slot VME rack, the Mark VI control system can be used in simplex or TMR mode. To ensure that the control system delivers optimal turbine performance and that you get a true "systems" solution, GE's turbine design Engineering and Control engineering departments work closely together to create the hardware and software.
For small applications and large integrated systems with control ranges from a single module to multiple distributed modules, the Mark VI control system offers both simplex and triple redundancy configurations.
The name TMR comes from the core architecture, which has three completely independent and independent control modules, power supply, and IONet. The Mark VI control system is GE's third-generation triple-redundancy control system, first introduced in 1983.
Up to nine 21-slot VME racks of I/O cards can run in 40 milliseconds, including data voting. The Mark VI offers a wide range of cards designed to connect directly to specific sensors and actuators.
In a fault-tolerant approach called software implementation, inputs vote in Software (SIFT). Each control module's VCMI card receives input from the control module backplane and other modules through its "own" IONet.
