Processor and performance:
The MVME162-13 is based on MOTOROLA's PowerPC processor and provides powerful computing and processing power.
Multiple processor options are supported, including the 32 MHz MC68040 enhanced 32-bit microprocessor with 8KB cache, MMU, and FPU, and the optional 25 MHz MC68040 and MC68LC040 processors.
Memory and storage:
Equipped with 4, 8 or 16MB of shared DRAM for data processing and program running.
It has 512KB of SRAM with a backup battery to ensure that data is not lost in the event of a power failure.
Includes a 1MB flash memory that can be used for an onboard monitor/debugger or user-installed firmware.
Communication interface:
It is equipped with two serial communication ports, one as EIA-232-D DTE (console port) and the other user configurable for EIA-232-D/EIA-422(V.36) DTE/DCE.
Support a variety of communication protocols, such as Ethernet, serial communication, etc., to facilitate communication and data exchange with various devices.
Bus interface:
A32/D64 VME bus master/slave interface with system controller function.
Supports high performance DMA (Direct memory access) for VMEbus D64 and local bus memory burst cycles.
