PP Ventilation Cabinet PP Fume Hood PP Ventilation Hood
PP fume hoods serve as core safety equipment for handling hazardous chemicals like strong acids and alkalis in laboratory settings. Manufactured from high-purity polypropylene (PP), they address the drawbacks of traditional metal fume hoods—corrosion susceptibility and short service life—and are widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical, and biological fields.
Core Advantages
The PP material exhibits exceptional chemical stability, resisting corrosion from strong acids like hydrofluoric acid and alkalis. It maintains stable performance between -8°C and 80°C. The cabinet body is seamlessly welded from 8mm-thick pure PP sheets, featuring concealed internal connectors that are corrosion-resistant. With a maximum load capacity of 400KG, it eliminates potential air leakage risks at joints.
Structure and Function
The cabinet features reinforced “U-shaped, T-shaped, and mouth-shaped” folded edges for enhanced rigidity and resistance to deformation. The work area is equipped with 5-8mm thick PP baffle plates that guide contaminated gases through layered channels for uniform exhaust. The viewing window consists of a 5mm thick tempered glass sliding door that can be positioned anywhere and shatters without sharp edges. The exhaust port includes a PP exhaust hood with a 250mm round duct sleeve to minimize turbulence.
Worktops offer options of 12.7mm solid-core chemical-resistant laminate, PP laminate, or ceramic tile for acid/alkali resistance. Standard features include PP cup drains, brass faucets, and electrical systems with LED lighting, 10A outlets, and LCD panels supporting airflow adjustment. Select models incorporate motorized air dampers.
Applications
Suitable for pharmaceutical R&D (resistant to organic solvents), chemical experiments (withstands strong acids/alkalis), and environmental monitoring (controls hazardous gases). Also ideal for university research labs, medical testing departments, and laboratories in food processing, chemical engineering, petroleum inspection, and related industries.
Safety & Cost-Effectiveness
Complies with JB/6412-1999 standards; select imported brands certified by UL, CSA, and CE. Negative pressure system prevents gas leakage. Standard dimensions: 1200/1500/1800×850×2350mm. Available in desktop (1500mm height), floor-standing, and custom configurations. Ductless models include activated carbon filters and safety controllers.
PP material is recyclable, ensuring long equipment lifespan, easy cleaning, and low operational costs. The ductless model requires no piping installation, is ready to use out of the box, and is suitable for cleanrooms. Offering high cost-effectiveness, it is well-suited for research institutions with limited budgets.
Through material innovation and precision design, PP fume hoods provide reliable protection for corrosive experiments, serving as critical safety equipment in modern laboratories.
