Overview

EI812F is a controller module that uses standard Ethernet as the system communication bus. It is mainly used in ABB field controllers such as AC800F and other devices. It can realize data communication between devices and Ethernet, and provide the system with Ethernet communication functions compliant with the IEEE802.3 standard.

Technical Parameters

Communication Standard: Provides communication compliant with the 10Base-5 standard through AUI, and the bus standard complies with DIN ISO 8802-3.
Data Bus: 32-bit data bus with a data bandwidth of up to 100Mbps.
Transmission Rate: 10Mbit/s.
Memory Access: Reserved 8MB memory access address field and 8MB I/O access address field.
Interface Type: A 15-pin SUB-D socket with a slide lock on the front panel, used for the AUI interface, which can be connected to commercial transceivers with an AUI connector (15-pin female plug DIN 41652).
Power Supply Related: Supports an optional battery to provide redundant backup for the main memory, and has the function of monitoring and alarming for low battery voltage.

Functional Features:

Status Display: Equipped with a status LED display and a battery voltage monitoring status LED display, allowing for an intuitive understanding of the module's working status and battery conditions.
Automatic Identification: Has an automatic module identification function. After the module is powered on and started, the CPU reads special boot parameters from the module's EEPROM, facilitating quick system identification and configuration.
Low CPU Overhead: Uses direct memory access to the main memory, with a CPU overhead of less than 4 during operation, which can reduce the occupation of controller CPU resources and improve the overall performance of the system.
Programmable Upgrade: The Ethernet module has its own dedicated communication processing chip, and its firmware program supports upgrading through the system bus, facilitating subsequent maintenance and function expansion.
Interrupt Handling: Each module can generate its own interrupts, which can be identified and processed by the system according to different priorities, helping to respond to important events in a timely manner.

Application Fields: This module can be applied in modern industrial fields such as electric power, petroleum, mine hoisting, ports, heating, gas, water supply, sewage treatment, metallurgy, papermaking, textiles, chemicals, and water conservancy.
