Working Principle
Similar to most servo drives, the S20660-SRS receives motion commands (such as position, speed, or torque commands) from the host computer. The internal processor of the drive parses the commands, then calculates the required drive signals through control algorithms (such as PID algorithms). By controlling the power module, it outputs appropriate current to the servo motor to drive its operation. The encoder on the motor real-time feeds back the motor's position and speed information to the drive, which continuously adjusts the output signals based on the deviation between the feedback and command signals, forming a closed-loop control to achieve precise position and speed control.
Common Faults and Solutions
  • Fault Codes F01, F02, F03, F04
    • Possible Causes: Usually related to power supply, such as power short circuit, overvoltage, or undervoltage.

    • Solutions: First, turn off the motor, wait for a few minutes, and restart. If the problem persists, check the power supply.

  • Fault Codes F05, F06, F07, F08
    • Possible Causes: Generally related to motor magnets, such as magnet open circuit, short circuit, or damage.

    • Solutions: First, check if the magnet is installed correctly and fastened. If the magnet is fine, replace it.

  • Fault Code F09
    • Possible Causes: Mostly related to the encoder, such as encoder failure or signal distortion.

    • Solutions: Check if the encoder cable is correctly connected. If the cable is normal, replace the encoder.

  • Fault Code F10
    • Possible Causes: Usually a problem with the motor control panel, such as panel failure or incorrect motor identification.

    • Solutions: Check if the panel connection is correct. If the panel is fine, try replacing the control panel or motor.

  • Fault Codes F11, F12
    • Possible Causes: Often related to motor cables, such as loose connection or damage.

    • Solutions: Check the cable connection for wear or breakage. If the connection is correct, replace the cable.

  • Fault Codes F13, F14
    • Possible Causes: Generally caused by motor overheating, possibly due to excessive motor load or prolonged use.

    • Solutions: First, stop using the motor and wait for it to cool. If the fault persists, reduce the load or replace the motor.
