I. Functional Characteristics
Memory data protection
Provide continuous power supply for the volatile memory of the controller (such as RAM) after power failure to prevent the loss of programs, configuration parameters and operational data due to power interruption, and ensure that the controller can be restored to its state before power failure after restart.
It is applicable to scenarios such as sudden power outages and equipment maintenance power-off in industrial environments, avoiding production disruptions and data resets.
Dual power supply redundant switching
When the power supply is normal, the external power supply supplies power to the controller and charges the battery. When power is cut off, the detection circuit within the module triggers a switch, and the battery immediately takes over the power supply. The switching time is shorter than the critical time for memory data loss (millisecond-level response).
Safety protection design
Built-in fuses (for specific specifications, please refer to the manual) can prevent short circuits or overcurrent in the output circuit, avoid battery overheating or controller damage, and enhance system safety.
Ii. Technical Parameters
Battery capacity and backup duration
Battery capacity: Typically 15.0 ampere-hours (Ah), similar to IC693 and ACC302, but the specific capacity should be based on the official manual.
Backup duration:
When used in conjunction with low-power controllers such as IC693 CPU374, it can provide a backup for approximately 15 months.
When used in conjunction with models such as IC693 CPU (Model 311-364) or IC697 CPU, it can support up to 75 months of backup (depending on the power consumption of the controller).
Electrical characteristics
Working voltage: Adapt to the DC power supply requirements of the controller (such as 5V or 24V, which needs to be matched with the specific controller model).
Operating temperature range: 0-60℃, adaptable to temperature fluctuations in industrial environments.
Shelf life: Approximately 7 years. After this period, the battery capacity will decline and it needs to be replaced regularly.
Iii. Physical Properties
Appearance and material
The shell is made of black flame-retardant ABS plastic, which meets industrial protection standards and features flame retardancy and durability.
Dimensions: approximately 145.1mm (length) ×65mm (width) ×39.9mm (height), which is similar in size to IC693 and ACC302.
Interface and Installation
Connection cable: Equipped with a 0.6-meter-long red/black 24AWG twisted lead with a 2-pin female connector for connection to the controller mainboard.
Installation method: Panel installation. Four #8-32 x ½ "flat-head machine screws should be used to fix it to the equipment housing, which is compatible with the layout of industrial control cabinets.
