1. Common Alloy Materials
Low alloy steel pipes:
Such as 16Mn (Q345B), 15CrMo, 12Cr1MoV, etc., with a total alloy content of less than 5%, having good comprehensive mechanical properties, commonly used in high-pressure pipelines, boiler components, etc.
Medium alloy steel pipes:
Such as 35CrMo, 42CrMo, etc., with alloy content of 5% to 10%, having higher strength and wear resistance, suitable for mechanical manufacturing, gear shaft parts.
High alloy steel pipes:
Such as stainless steel (304, 316L), heat-resistant steel (Cr5Mo, Cr9Mo), corrosion-resistant alloys (Inconel, Hastelloy), etc., with alloy content greater than 10%, possessing excellent high-temperature and corrosion resistance properties, used in chemical, aerospace, and other harsh environments.
2. Classification by Application
Structural Seamless Steel Pipes: Used for mechanical structures, building supports, etc. (such as 20# steel, 45# steel).
Fluid Transportation Seamless Steel Pipes: For transporting fluids such as water, oil, gas, etc. (such as 20#, Q345B).
High-pressure Boiler Seamless Steel Pipes (GB5310): Used for high-temperature and high-pressure pipelines in power station boilers (such as 15CrMoG, 12Cr1MoVG).
Petroleum Cracking Seamless Steel Pipes (GB9948): High-temperature cracking pipelines in oil refineries (such as 1Cr5Mo).
High-pressure Seamless Steel Pipes for Fertilizer Equipment (GB6479): For high-pressure conditions in synthetic ammonia, urea, etc. (such as 20G, 12Cr2Mo).
Seamless Alloy Steel Tubes
Seamless alloy steel tubes and pipes, especially standard ASTM A213, are widely used for boilers, heat exchangers, high pressure devices, superheaters, and reheaters. Due to seamless alloy steel tubes’ hardness and mechanical property, they are siutable for high temperature and high pressure circumstances. ASTM A213 Standard is Seamless Ferritic and Austenitic Alloy-steel Boiler, Superheater, and Heat-Exchanger tubes.
Beside alloy steel tubes, ASTM A213 also includes stainless tubes, which are also widely used for boilers, heat exchangers, and condensers.
Another very important alloy steel tubes standard is ASTM A209 T1 for superheater usage. CTS may has exported more than 500 tons of ASTM A209 T1 tubes to Indonesia in last three years.
